I you would like to see any variations on this (fonts, colors, additions, subtractions or suggestions), please feel free to ask. Happy to do. Just one simple adjustment i just noticed, might be color the dots to the i's since they are themselves squares or blocks, in the colors of the blocks in the emblem (possibly enlarging the "dots" slightly) so if the words are used alone they have a little more color or playfulness about them. (as I am not currently ranked and it has just gone into the top 5 phase, I can't actually do that until or unless I am within the top 5 designers, but just throwing the idea out there.)
So, it's crunch time and we're really torn! While design #99 is our frontrunner, we really feel your designs show a great deal of creativity and your #83 also communicates the school's message very well. Unfortunately, we can only award our prize to one candidate but would you consider releasing the rights to your design and the artwork for $150? Please let me know as soon as possible. You can correspond with me directly via email at jjspots@aol.com or by phone at 954.233.3670. Thank you! Jay
Jay, we are not supposed to contact the contest holders by phone or email before a winner is chosen.
And, though I very much appreciate the offer and kind words, I will have to decline your offer. I work hard on my logos and feel my work is worth the full amount. Plus, when a logo does not win, we can utilize it and/or it's elements to create entries for other contests since we maintain rights. In these hard times, it is definitely a struggle to say no to an offer, and maybe i am being foolish, but ....
Again, thank you for the kind words regarding my work.
