We love the life preserver and rope concept shown in Entry #4. A concern is that the outline of the family might be a little bit of a stereotype. One of our goals is to connect the older and younger generations so maybe it could show the older generation throwing a line to the younger generations (making a connection).
Another concept to represent different family scenarios might be to have have the Lifeguard Alliance logo in the middle with a nuclear family icon (similar to above), grandparent icon, mother & child icon, and possibly foster children icon surrounding. This might represent more of a cross-section of society.
Very excited about the process and look forward to seeing more entries!
Really like the changes you have made. Can you please make the words below the line a little bolder and bigger. Also, we kind of like the idea of the D at the end of lifeguard being as big as the L (maybe make all the ALLIANCE letters the same size.)
As far as the outlines of the people go, I'm not crazy about the style of the man's hair - too much like Elvis. We were hoping to have shadows that are more generalized, or with broader ethnic appeal. Hope that makes sense.
On the design we picked, is there a way to make "EVERY CHILD'S LIFE IS WORTH SAVING" more bold? We were also wondering what it would look like if the gray on this and the lines were black.
