I need to take a break as well.

Yes, please feel free to remove those you mentioned so that you are free of any possible disturbance within.

Be well. I will talk with you later.

Hello,

This is #255 with the guy's upper half straightened out so the swirl is more defined.
First attempt, I can certainly change it more.
Looking at the website tones next..
Thank you,
Tim

Hello,

I looked at the website and got the color tones for the green and orange "buttons" on the page.
I made the green "Life is" and the orange "Great" those tones.
I moved the green and orange in the globe to be very close to those in the dark parts, but kept the brightness for contrast in the other parts like the sun itself. I tried to make the blue hue fit with them.

Thank you,
Tim

Tim,

I thought I left a post for you, but it is not here.

I needed to take a break too.

I am in agreement with you on taking down those designs you listed so that you won't have any concerns or disturbances within.

I believe we have the design concept well in hand with your last submissions.

I would like to ask for a few more slight changes to be sure.

Please use #262 as the guide.
Can I see it with the highlighted brown little guy, with the swirl obvious in his chest.
Then can I see #262 and the variation with the highlighted brown little guy without Life is Great! in the slight border.
Lastly, I would like to see both the white and highlighted brown little guy in the blue bottom as in design #252, with the color scheme you now have in #262, both with Life is Great! bordered and not.

Thank you again,
Marcus.

Hello,
Here is #262 with the highlighted little guy. I had to lighten the area of the swirl so you could see it better against the blue and green.
Another option would be to move him up higher in the sphere and make him a little bigger.

Thank you,
Tim

It's a little hard to see the swirl still in the small display image here, so this is just so you can see it even more clearly.

I think I got all the changes you were interested in seeing.
I'll be away until tomorrow afternoon, but please let me know if there is anything else at all you would like to see.

Have a good evening,

Tim,
Excellent work my friend!
I've got them narrowed down to #262 & 268.
I will be out working with clients for a few hours, but would like to work with you on a few things with these two designs.
To get you started in case your back before I am:
You had mentioned in an earlier post that if I would like the little guy stretched out more you would. Two thoughts here.
1. I would really like to try and use the actual little guy from the high resolution image, like the one on my website now. I provided a link for these in the brief. I feel it will be an important part of my branding going forward. If you can do this (no one else has used the actual image in a globe setting like yours with the color scheme you are using) please show it in both the white and the shaded brown. Please make it as true to the original as you can within the globe.
2. I would like to see Real Solutions.... all in the emboldend/darker blue.
Please give me these looks with both designs listed above.

Thank you tim,
Marcus.

Hi Marcus,

Thank you very much.
It's no trouble at all rendering the little guy like the image you provided.
It will take a little bit but I'm working on it now and should be able to post it this afternoon or evening.

Off to it!

Thanks again,
Tim

Hello,

These are the variations you requested.

#296 - the high res little guy
#297 - the little guy colored white
#298 - the little guy colored white with entire "Real solutions..." bold.
#299 - the high res little guy with entire "Real solutions.." bold.
#301 - just so you could see the little guy better.

Thank you, and don't hesitate to let me know if you want to see anything else.

You Did It!!!!

Tim, I would like your professional feedback. If you step back as best you can from your designs:
1. Which one is most powerful to you?
2. Do you prefer Life is Great! with or without shadowing?
3. Which one do you feel fits best in the header of my website?
4. Do you prefer the slogan fully darkened or only Real Solutions?

Other questions:
1. Can you put the trademarked symbol (TM) in the design?
2. Can you increase the font size a bit for the text? Perhaps so that it equals about 75 or 80% of the overall hieght of the gloge?

I'm really excited now,
Marcus.

Thank you very much, Marcus,.

To answer your questions, if I step away and look at them all equally:

1. This one is subjective in that I am thinking about the size it is viewed at.
On the website, if the image were to remain the same small size as the thumbnail here in the lineup (without hovering over it and seeing the bigger image) then the little white guy one looks more powerful because the hi res guy loses sharpness and contrast against the blue and green at smaller sizes.
However, if the image will be the size it is in the larger image you see when you hover over the thumbnail I like the hi res little guy.
If I'm looking at the two at any size bigger than the popup image you see when you hover, I like the hi res guy.

2. I'm going back and forth on this, and I think I know why.
For me, it's defendant on the little guy. For the little guy colored white, I like the borders as a contrast to him. It makes him stand out more and the words stand out.
For the darker little guy, I think the borders may be too much. He's dark, so there's no break between him and the dark on the words...I guess I like the separate contrast of the two parts visually, but I do see the design as one single piece if that makes sense.

3. I like the darker little guy because I think it works well in the white area at the top and with the orange sidebar to the right.

4. I think I like it fully darkened. Partially bold does make Real Solutions stand out, but it might make it a little busy and my eye wants to go to that first then I get a bit lost as to what to look at next..do I keep reading the non-bold text, look at the Bigger Words or the image? That might just be me though.

1. No trouble at all to add the TM or change the font size.
Do you want to see that on any one(s) in particular or all of them?

Thank you,
Tim

Thanks for the feedback Tim.
I am leaning in the same direction as you on all four counts.
However, I am not fully decided. Therefore, do you mind adding those changes to all four (296, 297, 298 & 299).

Thank you,
Marcus.

Hello,

Here are the 4 with the larger text in proportion to the globe.
Just let me know if you would like it a little larger or smaller, I went for 75%.

Thank you,
Tim

Tim,

I think that resizing will work.
Can I have a look at 307 & 310 with the TM mark and with Life is Great! Shadowed again.

Thanks,
Marcus.

Thanks Tim.

My eyes are getting tired. Is it my imagination or are the globes in 313 & 314 even smaller? If so, I think I like them as they were in the last set.

Please TM 307 & 310 (Without the shadowing of life is great.)
I am going to look at these next ones, sleep on it and make my final choice in the morning with fresh eyes.

Thank you,
Marcus.

Hi Marcus,

Actually, the globes look smaller because the whole logo is smaller to be able to fit the TM in the frame.
Everything's the same proportion as the prior ones, but at the previous size the TM would be outside the margin and you wouldn't see it so I had to shrink the whole thing a bit to fit.

I'll send the non-shaded ones in a moment.

Thank you,
Tim

Tim,

The contest will end at 7am my time tomorrow. I'm in Colorado (Mountain time).

I will make my final selection from your designs in the morning. After that, as my website designer integrates it into the site will you be willing to make some minor adjustments if any so that it comes out nice?

Have a great evening. You are awesome!
Marcus.

Hello,
Here are the two without the shading.
I just want to mention as well that the contest winner will send a large JPEG image as one of the file types, 1000x800. Between that and the EPS file, the logo can be any size you want.
I think I speak for most designers here as well in saying we're happy to send different sized images as well.
The thumbnails here show the proportion of the elements to each other, and the wider the logo the smaller it looks in that small square.

Thanks again,
Tim

Hi Marcus,

I can't speak for everyone of course, but I think most designers here, myself included, are happy to work with the contest holder to make sure they are completely satisfied in the end.
It's no trouble at all and I think anyone here would be happy to do that.

Take care,
Tim
