Hi there,

Hope your having a good weekend so far?

Here is one of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.

The icon is an "L" and "B" combination on what looks like actual blueprint style.

The logo is 100% so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour and B&W.

If you'd like to see any variations then please do say.

Regards,
Angus

Hello. I really like the lettering in the words. It's clean and professional. I like the way they are stacked and that learning is in lowercase and blueprints is in uppercase.

Your icon is very interesting! I like it. I'm wondering how it might be modified just a bit. When you look at it very small, I can see the B, but not the L. I also wonder if it could be made just a bit less "busy"...maybe with fewer blueprint marks? Will that work or not?

Thank you for your work! You are definitely on the right path.

Hi there,

Thank you for the great feedback and comments, always appreciated.

And of course it would be a pleasure to work up some iterations ... And here they are :)

With this one, I've thickened the line of the "L" and "B", which should help when viewed at smaller sizes. I've also removed some of the blueprint markings - I didn't remove too many, otherwise it might loose the overall effect. And lastly I've tried a stronger contrasting colour for the "L", which should hopefully make it stand out a but more.

I look forward to your thoughts.

Regards
Angus

Hello again,

And with this one, all the same as the previous one, however I've manually made the "L" just that tad thicker than the "B" part - and tried orange with the blue, which are complimentary colours on the colour spectrum.

Look forward to your comments.

#29 is good. I like the thicker letters and that you removed some of the blueprint marks. I'm not a fan of that shade of orange. I'm thinking that an orange that has a lot more red in it or maybe going back to the blue that you originally used. I'm not good with colors, so you'll have to be the judge of that. You may have a better idea.

Thanks, again! I appreciate your talent and your work.

I love this new version. I like the three blueprints and I like having three colors. I'm not sure those are the right three colors. I'll have to think about that. I'm wondering if the blueprint markings need to be a bit easier to see?

Using gray for the word "Blueprints" is probably a good idea. Otherwise, there might be too much color.

Thanks, again! I appreciate your work.

Hi there,

Thanks for the great feedback and comments.
Here is a new iteration ... I've changed the colours, and also darkened the blueprint elements.

Look forward to your comments.

The red and green look really good. Could the black lines in the blue box be darkened just a bit more?

I'm really liking the way this one is developing. Thank you!!

Hi there,

Thanks for the great ranking and comments.
Of course would be my pleasure ... Here is a version with the blueprints darker and slightly bolder.
I think it works better like this, stands out a bit more, without being too strong.

Look forward to your comments.

I love the bolder blueprints. Very good.

One more thought...from a distance, it is hard to tell that it is a L and B in the box. In earlier versions, you used two colors to make them distinct. Can you try two colors again or either spread the L and B further apart so that you can really see the L?

Also, #34 is an orangy-red. How would that look instead of the cherry red in #117?

Sorry for the delay ... Just wanted to explain that I've been taken to Logo Court over one of my entries.

Another designer ( https://logotournament.com/contests/learning_blueprints/by/ahmetnuri ) believes I have copied his design, however I believe otherwise so am fighting it, and will be keeping my entries in.

Right let me get that revision done for you.

Hi there,

Just to give you and update, the logocourt decided that my designs were not in violation, and not a copy, so all are remaining.

And one without the coloured blocks and purely the LB and the blueprint elements.
