Once again, we greatly appreciate you sticking with us through this process and continuing to provide us with the possible renditions of the final logo design.
After further discussion and the selection process coming to an end, we have decided to come back to your original #226 base design and ask you to incorporate the changes that you made in your newer renditions, as well as some new final touches.
Everything that we would like to be tweaked for the final design will be listed here:
- Shorten the 'i' in 'LiA' to have the highest point in line with the negative space in the top half of the A
- Make the "LATINOS" type all pink and the "IN ARCHITECTURE" type all black
- remove the outside extending lines at the top of the 'A' in "LiA"
- have the bottom of the negative space in the 'A' in "LiA" line up with the top of the foot in 'L'
- Make the extruding lines of the 'iA' in "LiA" thinner
- Have the color pallet of the 'L' in "LiA" be 2 or 3 shades of the current pink. (maintain a bright, hot pink, tone of pink)
Also, it would be helpful if you could let us know what program or software you used to create the logo. We mostly work in Adobe illustrator and other Adobe programs, so if we would be able to receive a file that is compatible, it would be very helpful.
Congratulations on your win and we hope you are willing to provide us with these final requests.
Your #235 and #234 rendition are looking very nice. We would like to see a version with the 'L' in "LiA' the same size as the original #225 submission.
Also if the extruding lines from the top and bottom could be a little shorter, this would be nice to see as well.
Hello,
I made the following revisions according to your comments: #234, #235, #236, #237.
In #236 & #237 letter "L" is thicker than "iA".
Let me know what you think.
We have just finished meeting together as a team to discuss final renditions and changes that we would like to see. I will be listing the changes here and making annotations onto the design to help make some points more clear.
What we would like to see:
- Make the 'L' in 'LiA' the same hatched pattern as the 'iA'
- Shorten the 'i' in 'LiA' to have the highest point in line with the negative space in the top half of the A.
- Continue the lowest and highest construction line on the 'LiA' type to connect all the way and form an enclosed space.
- Make one rendition with the 'LATINOS' type all pink
- Make one rendition with the whole 'LATINOS IN ARCHITECTURE' type in the pink, orange, and yellow color pallet.
We are very glad to be able to continue our work together and appreciate all that you have done. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Congratulations and thankyou for all your work! We have decided to go through with your design for our final choice. We would like to continue working with you to finalize any minor changes to the design as we come to a more concise idea.
Again, congratulations and we hope you will be able to continue working with us in the coming days.
We have decided that you are one of the four designers that we will want to continue working with to hone in on your individual designs and styles.
We have just come together as a team to put together ideas of everything we would like to see in the final logo. We also decided that we would like to focus on your #198 design.
Things to keep
- extruding lines from the "iA"
- color pallet in the "LATINOS" type
- frequency of hatch lines in "iA"
Things we would like to see different
- Less shades of color used in the overall pallet
- A rendition with only the purple, pink, and yellow (1 shade of each)
- A rendition with only the yellow, pink and orange (1 shade of each)
This will be a great start to the coming days of the finalist stage and we look forward to seeing your work. Thanks again!
Tomorrow we will begin putting our final thoughts together for which 5 designers we feel will be able to produce the best logo for our organization. Right now with your most recent inputted designs, #155, #150, and your previous work #108 you have most likely secured yourself a spot in the finalist round. We are looking forward to communicating more on which design we would like to focus the most on and see what we can produce.
Thankyou very much for your work thus far!
Thankyou very much for reviewing our feedback and submitting this new rendition. We appreciate your work and will continue working with you through these comments as new ideas come to mind.
Here is a new version of my concept.
I've used the Gill Sans font, added small flags to the "i" letter and slightly modified the door and the window of the "A" letter.
I'll be glad to know your thoughts about my new design.
Upon further viewing, we noticed that your current design could implement some aspects of Latino culture into future renditions as well. This is a main focus that we will be using in our final decisions for the design so we would like to see what you could add with this information. Any additions do not need to be super obvious, and possibly more subtle implementations would be most appreciated.
You are still maintaining a very high placement in our rankings and are looking forward to see what you can create. Thankyou!
First, Thank you for the submission! If you are getting feedback then we already really like the direction that your design is going in and you will most likely be moving into the next round of submissions. The implementation of Architecture is easily viewable and very well executed. In regards to your other submission of this design with the stairs in the opposite direction and the type in a different format, we currently like this design more. A simple feel is one of our main focuses and you managed to tie in subtle intricacies as well while still maintaining a simple nature to the design which is not overlooked. For feedback regarding future design submissions, the main font that we will be utlizing for our website and future advertisement is 'Gill Sans MT Regular'. A rendition with this font in the same format would be nice to view. The A with the cross cut out in the type for this submission could also be utilized with the rendition including the Gill Sans font.
