Your abstract implementation of architectural elements into the logo is easily noticeable and appreciated. Right now, you would do best in maintaining your more simple style as there are other submissions with a more illustrative take that we will most likely be taking into consideration in the final decisions. If you are able to hone in on maybe changing around the 'Latinos in Architecture' type for possible separate renditions, your design will be the perfect dichotomy to pit against the other styles.
We also noticed that you had multiple different submissions already so focus on this #28 design precedent and see if there is any way to incorporate some subtle aspects of latino culture into the logo as well. This is the best direction that we feel the design can go in.
