I would use the letters LYD for Larry Young Dental - not "G" Perhaps some more color in the logo and the letters and name - even some background color - it looks quite pale with the light colors and the white background. The letters could be different shades of one color - with the letters going from light to dark (up or downward). Also the name could be in a different color to highlight it or set it apart. I am not sure about the emblem containing the letters - if you changed the colors as outlined above, then it may look different but could you use use something different to frame the letters ?
