I have no idea what a power animal is. I liked the pen and made suggestions to make it more of a tool that an accountant would use, like a mechanical pencil. I loved the direction you were going. Please feel free to suggest a word mark, not sure what this is either.
I've gotta run for a wee bit, I work on any additional modification you may have.
Side note. I do appreciate your input and I understand this can be very overwhelming. Yes, I do take into account what you say or should say I interpret your ideas and incorporate those ideas into my vision for the brand. Sometime they fit sometime not.
I prefer not to cookie cutter but put though into what I do.
the idea is implied back in the day when pens were used and yes fountain pens...it brings nostalgia to your logo not technology which is not a brand unless you are in the technology sector.
that the whole idea you are surrounded by digital presences the logo is to convey an idea with a tribute to when things were done manually.
There is no rule that say you need a calucvualte or computer to symbolize your industry arrg those are terrible ideas. and are more website icons for services not a brand identity.
Take geico as an example they use a power animal to represent the company cool, fun and memorable.
update with 2 variations, I've placed the abstract pen to the right of the company name, to me it seems to make more sense than to left as it flows better.
I think this graphic is more on track as far as customization, I wouldn’t focus on a pencil or a pen (which I rarely use), look for other accounting tools. I was hoping for a ton of different ideas with the tournament..
I don't give up easy, this was something I had worked on a couple of days ago, but at the time I was not sure if I shoudl uplaoded it considering the designers you had ranked.
I luv this concept, it fun,, creative (with a graph) industry relevant and is still a minimalist design.
I am a wee bit confused the Quickbook logo is is simple circle and letters clean minimalist design. that is why they chose the design direction quickbook make accounting simple
I unranked them all because no one is hitting the mark. Not offended, just decided that keeping the best so far was not helping if I wouldn’t choose them.
I'm not a total fan of shadows, and this design in particular doesn't scream accounting to me. Looks like a star. I like ProAdvisor info on there, but no hyphen. Thanks!

I can understand that, if you not in love with an concept it will not work. I could do a power animal but have a feeling it's not the right direction.
If I may suggest a word mark has more power than icon and text. A clever wordmark goes along way especially if it has subtle meaning designed into it.
Thank you for considering my work I did my best.

you work either from a laptop to desktop maybe even a tablet. You wanted a digital present in the logo design and this is it.
bar graphs look like skyscrapers again confused over your comment.
a wifi symbol is not a logo.
