Here are some of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
I like your designs, especially #51 and #52. There is so much noise in #49, and #50 is a bit odd (L'Abri is the same font and style of Coffeeshouse. Also it's strange that the tagline is split in 2 lines, 2 colors, and 2 font sizes). Also the "est 2013" is unnecessary. Simple is better.
I'd like to see more of your designs. Perhaps you could also fix the 2 beans. Maybe create a little space between them?
hmm. I def prefer #106, the horizontal line for the tagline. It's a bit cluttered though, don't you think? Also the font for the tagline is too small. Could we perhaps lose the beans, and increase the font of the tagline?
I'm between your design and 42studio's. I like yours better because it has that retro feel to it, and also stays away from the cliche coffeemug.
however, the small tagline is still an issue. Right now, I'm looking into having the logo on a 110cm x 75cm sign, and on the facebook page (square). I wonder if you can play around with the logo to fit both dimensions?
Thanks for the message, hope your having a good Christmas?
Would be my pleasure - Let me see what I can do for you. It might have be a different font maybe a more condensed one - that way we can make it bigger with taking up more width. Or we separate each word into its own line?
The only problem is that currently, in the judging mode, only the 1st ranked designer can submit entries. However you can rotate designers around, into 1st, to allow anyone to submit.
I'm just currently away at the in laws for Boxing Day but will be able to do some options tomorrow for you.
Yes Christmas has been nice. Hope you had a good Christmas and boxing day.
I ranked you #1. Please feel free to upload new designs with the different font and so on. It's important for me that the words are clear and readable, especially the tagline.
And here are a number of variations, focusing on making the tagline stronger, clearer and bigger! I've also put a coloured panel behind to show that it fits into the rectangle and square shapes you mentioned.
