As much as it can get with stylized for sports bear's face. I encourage you to browse the web for bear face logos, also use reverse image search. This way you will learn what's already overused.

I could make it much more cleaner but currently there is so much animal stock art in circulation that this is next to impossible to make something very simple yet original.

Only thing I can think of here is to clean up the black outline around the nose. Make it a little less bumpy maybe

That is definitely more intense! I think I like it outlines better too.

Is this enough or you want him even more passionate? Directions like "intense" work best as you only know the desired effect you need to achieve with this logo. Previous entry is without outline.

This is going to sound a little crazy but the more I look at this the more it looks like he just has his mouth open. You solved the fur issue, but how can we make the 'open mouth' look more intense, maybe that is tilting his head towards to the top right to give it that feeling.

Still prefer this color way the most. Any chance you can make the bottom angles less jagged and pointy and see if it makes it look less like a lions mane?

This is great! How about changing the color scheme a little bit to incorporate a darker brown, maybe an orangish, and shades of the darker brown pictured here.
