where is your arcade? I am an Atarian - worked there in the 70's coin op division... got lots of resource materials for this subject! Carol

It's in Texas near Dallas. Really? That's awesome....what kind of resources do you have? You mean arcade related items/parts/games/ etc.....? I do have an Original Pong in my arcade but wouldn't mind finding obscure others even though my theme is more into the 80s.

OH Boy... you are in Nickels & Dimes territory! (they were in Carrolton) I have a book I wrote in 1979 - Promoting Your Game Center that talks about membership clubs and different ways to do it... I did research on games for Atari and then did much of the promo work to operators and distributors... after the contest for your logo I could send you information... I actually have a webpage with all the old ads & brochures for old games on it...

I am from North Dallas but live in CA now - where exactly is the arcade?

Yep....they are still here and I believe called "Tilt"(but might just be a division of there's and still called Nickels&Dimes also) which were in all the malls in the US as far as I know! The arcade is actually in Mansfield just south and in between Dallas/Ft Worth. Arcades really are on not doing well anywhere in the US anymore unless you are doing redemption style with tokens and ticketed games for prizes. I am trying to bring back the old school way with video games and pinballs for the older crowd but kinda bar theme also(hopefully pull a slight younger with this) with plasmas on the wall and beer neons!

There is a lot of coin-op based in your area - also the HQ of Dave&Busters... I did a lot with them in the begining from my promo business... Nostalgia is 'in' so if you work it right - well you may just have a hit.
Look at the model of Muse Mechanique in San Francisco - they went even further back in history of amusements and have survived a long time... I will see if I have time to further develop ideas for your logo and after the contest I can get you more info about the other things that might be of interest for your venture.
