Kate Blake Inc.Logo Design Contest

Hi there,

Hope your having a good week so far?

Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.

The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,

It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say.

Thank you for all this good work! I need to find out from my client if it is a requirement to use the inc. In other words, Kate Blake inc, not just KB. I *really* like your use of The 6X Project!

Thanks for the great feedback. I don't think adding the "inc" would be a problem at all, so if it needs to go just let me know and I'll alter all the designs.

A few more updates and iterations :)

You are SO good! I am fascinated by #62. Trying to decide if the symbol is too jarring or not. Try it a bit smaller? And 61 *almost* looks like a ladder. Which is good. Tweak it a bit? Thank you so much.

With #61 and #62 I was experimenting with multiple letter "K's" from the name.

Wow. Thank you for all this great work. Another request -- could you change #65 to have 6 points? Because of the 6x project?

Not a problem at all ...

The original shape wouldn't work (if I made it 6 points), due to the icon being made from letter "K's".
But that said, I took elements from the original and made it work :)

We love your designs. We are hoping you could help us out with a few tweaks:

#140 Love the orange! Wondering if you could reverse it. Orange on white.

Could you make the 'snowflake/star" a bit smaller

Try one without the snowflake/star. (Your fonts are gorgeous)

Try to make the 6x project a bit bolder. It gets a bit faint.

You have been wonderfully helpful and communicative throughout this entire project. Rooting for you to win!

#141 - So this is the all orange version
#142 - Original, icon smaller, tag line Bold Italic
#143 - Original, icon smaller still, tag line Heavy Italic
#144 - Original, icon smaller still, tag line Ultra Italic and all orange
#145 - Original, icon smaller still, tag line Ultra Italic, and "6x" in orange
#146 - Original, icon smallest, tag line Bold Italic, and "6x" in orange
#147 - No icon, just fonts, putting focus on "Kate", tag line Ultra Italic
#148 - No icon, just fonts throughout, tag line Ultra Italic, highlight on "6x"

And I think that's all of them :)

Hi Angus,

Here are the final comments from Kate. Hoping you can do these minor tweaks and then we'll click on WINNER.

Kate loves #140 and #141 -- but would love to see versions with the smaller size of the snowflake/star in #144 and #145.

She is also wondering what the snowflake might look like with some of the detail removed ... like the small doodads in between the primary snowflake/ star structure.

Hi there,

Thanks for juggling them around ... And here are those variations.

Basically I took the two differently sized icons from #144 and #145, made them all orange, and then tried a 4 step simplification route: 1 - original, 2 - making middle lines meet the outer element edge, 3 - make them middle line even shorter and make an inner star and finally, 4 - no center piece at all.
