Can the horse head be more refined?

I like this logo but I would like the horse head to be more refined. I like how it connnects to the circle. I would like the head to look more like the ones in this link but still in a circle.

here is a version i think you might like. it looks great reversed out as well as in positive space. it is also simple so it will embroider well. let me know if you have more suggestions.
