Thank you very much for responding to the comments. As noted, I would prefer some caligraphy type flair (visible brush marks) and would prefer that "Brew" be more in block type. I don't know how this conflicts with the intellectual propery of other contestants but it's what I'm looking for. Color wise I'm still figuring out what I would like, but am probably looking for more warm colors. That said, I like the rising sun reference in #31 so I'm going to let that grow on me for a bit.
I like it. I'm just not sure about the J..it seems capital, which makes less sense for the dot to be above it..I wonder if it should be lower case with the rising sun or upper case, with the rising sun over the "i"?
Also, I like the bold color scheme, classic Japanese. If you could play with a few othe colors that would be great.
Finally, I don't it to be too busy, but I wouldn't mind seeing it with a few other asian stylistic things..sakura (cherry blossom) or bamboo. Still playing with it in my mind.
Thank you for listening to the feedback, I appreciate it.
I like the upper case better..will be bolder for the J Brew abbreviation. I'd like to see some Asian elements around the foundation that is #33, but that said I like #37 that could have some color tweaks.
I looked at #69, thanks. I think this is good, but I'm looking at yours as the bold, Japanese lettering logo. I like the black and red of #33, and like the flower and swipe over "Brew" you added for #69. If you could combine the elements that would be great..to me the purple color doesn't quite go with the boldness of the lettering.
I like it. If you could make the flower either more flower like or more brushed looking that would be great..right now it's too geometric and stand out from the rest of the lettering up top. If you make it look more detailed like a flower, I'm looking for sakura. Thanks!
Thankyou, actually that is the same brushed style of sakura flower as seen on entry #37, and about the geometrical look, actually i do it on purpose, because it is the iconic shape of sakura, but i will made some other flower shapes too :)
I guess what I meant earlier was that I would like to see a brushed look to match the lettering..just like the dot on the j that's not perfect. I like the more precise flower but if you can create an "imprecise" brushed flower that might be nice. Thanks!
I think that's interesting..what if the thickness of the petal was the same as in #96 so there was no thickness differential between the flower and "J". Also, it would be nice if the J stood out from the rest color wise. This is probably a intellectual property issue but I'll just throw that out there.
