the more I think about this the idea it should work as one solid colour is important. Imagine it printed on coaching material – really raw and in your face.
in one colour there is no limit to what you can do. I've got the second colour overlaid but deliberately mis-registered, like a grungy screen print.
what got me is the words 'must have'. earthy, raw and desirable. a brand that I connect with in terms of creating a desirability is Deus Custom Motorcycles. It has this earthy rawness about everything they do. I feel a similar attitude would work here.
I can see this on a shirt – and I can imagine someone saying where'd you get that shirt!!? I think the shirt should be so good it recruits business! I think the tag words could be etched over the logo as per the blue version I've just done - integrate them into the design.
no worries – I'm happy to tweak the text size. and the logo does seem a bit "fine" at this small size but once it's bigger it really works well.
it could be that we do two versions.... i'm happy to supply whatever versions you need. i think it's important it works well smaller, for web etc. and then larger for shirts, any other gear you're branding, and signage.
I'll take a look at reducing the text a tad...see how it looks. Might balance slightly better with the JR logo.
all i can say (we're not supposed to promote other services during a contest) is that i'm sure anyone who wins would surely be able to design your card.
i'll check in a bit later in case you need to see anything...
