Transforming from the old map (represent by the globe in gray area) into something new.

Entry #131. I like this; it is a very clean and nice design. I would not put the initial inside the globe.

Entry #196. I do like the design but I think it is to simple to have just a shield and world. We have been drawn to the shield but the world by itslef seems to common. It needs to be able to convey a story of the following.

1. past to future
2. Strength.
3. wealth.
4. trust.

The logo is consist of these elements:
1. shield to represent security, protection
2. globe divided into two parts, one in greyscale to show a past, one in blue color to show the future
3. two face each facing a different part of the globe. to represent see the past and the future. I try to translate the message of your slogan "Where Understanding the Past is Knowing the Future".
4. the ground at the bottom to represent the based, the ground to stand.
I m sorry if my english no too good ^^ hope you understand the explanation.
