Dear Vannmiester, I provided you with the Coyote Brown versions. Please check them out. But please keep in mind, in order to make it right, you should give me color numbers. Anyway, you will be able to make a color match at the print shop before you actually print smth. Monitors are different and they produce colors differently. I see one color hue you may see the other; at the printing shop they may also see other color hue; their printing/embroidery equipment may use their own settings, so the color matching is RECOMMENDED in your case to match the uniform.
This link is a jacket that is the color we are looking for. Thanks for all your patients. Also, good catch on the STRICTA... You were right the spelling I gave was incorrect.
Hi. I think you might have made a mistake in the Latin phrase "SRICTA COETUS". Could you please check if this is correct or if you have missed a T letter in the first word. Thanks.
Hello. I submitted the altered versions with some color variations. I provided you with color codes listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_(color) There are lots of different hues of OD so if I missed the color please provide me with RGB or hex color codes. Anyway, you will be provided with design in a vector format. So you, or other printing technician will be able to change colors depending on your needs. So color matching is a thing you should consider to do at the local print shop, holding the actual color books in hands (Pantone colors for example).
So we are setting in on this design.... This should be just about the last request and then were going to choose this design. The "SNIPER" letters are almost a little tall. I'm wondering if you could shorten them down and this should give you a little room to beef up the "SWAT TEAM" and crosshairs.
Also, if we choose you we were wondering if you could send it in OD green and coyote brown. Take a look on google and look at the tactical gear in that color and it should give you a guide. Thanks again
So..... The team likes this design the most by far but we have some requests and I'm sure your talent can accommodate.
1) They are asking for the eagle used in #67, holding a ribbon similar to this design however with the saying "SRICTA COETUS" instead of "Deficere Non Licet".
2) Instead of "Ithaca P.D." at the bottom they want "Ithaca N.Y." displayed but in the same location as it is just swapping NY for PD.
3) They want to see SNIPER stretched all the way across a little wider than it is. Also, with the other eagle there may be room for a rifle underneath "SNIPER" to place a rifle with a scope.
4) Lastly, they want to see what it would look like with SNIPER on top above the eagle.
I know its a lot but you're obviously the only artist understanding what were looking for. Thanks again.
Vannmiester, I am just asking about this particular eagle I redrew from the regular police car of Ithaca. Is it OK to use THIS shaped eagle (because we can draw other eagles, in a different way)? But I kept the same style and visual..
Can you try this idea... Drop the word "Team" leaving only "Sniper" in your design and perhaps make it bigger to fill the void created by dropping the "Team". Also, is there any ideas of getting rid of the rifles and incorporating crosshairs in the patch. See what you can come up with there. Thanks.
Hey, sorry about not getting back to you. I am new to this method of getting our patch done. To answer your question, yes our Sniper team is an element of the SWAT team. We are all SWAT members trained extra in this specialty. Yes, the circle design I attached is our team design. Use whatever reference you want from it. The second attachment (the two patches) was only to use a guide as to what SHAPE the patch must be made in. Obviously you are one of the only few that understood that.
Dear Vannmiester, I am a bit worried that I've played a bit out off the rules here. Kind of grey area though. Since this is not exactly a logo design contest (it's a patch design) you and your team is related to the Ithaca Police Dept (you stated this in the Brief) I decided to provide you with design with an eagle Ithaca police uses on police cars. So I redrew this eagle: http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/3000a019968d59daa4e1e01cacf5789dabb777a3/c=178-0-845-667&r=x408&c=483x405/local/-/media/2016/03/16/Ithaca/B9321365185Z.1_20160316140612_000_G52DPABF9.1-0.jpg I posted a request to the community forum for the judgments on this and waiting for more feedbacks. Could you please confirm on your side that this is an eagle you're looking for (or not) and wether it's OK to use it (in terms of copyright). If there will be a problem I have to withdraw my designs before contest is over.
