Georgie told me that I should enter your contest. I hope that I can work with you, any feedback can help me make the perfect design for you. Thank you - Kent
Hi Kent, yes Georgie said she would mention to you regarding my contest. Thanks for your submissions. I'm after a stylized 'I' and 'C'. See what you can come up with. Love these hues. Kind regards, Kristine
#163 Thanks Kent. Need the hues changed around don't want green as major hue, only accent. Prefer the neutral background and accents on emblem and name. Want to see more elegant 'I' and 'C'. Like that 'interior' is larger than 'culture'. Look forward to more submissions. Thanks again, Kristine
#167 Love that green!!! Neutral needs to be lighter though. Don't like that the 'C' isn't represented and the 'I' to see overpowering......love that green. Thanks, Kristine
#168 Not sure I like the star. Not sure I like the design being so circular. Love the green, the background is too dark so need you to lighten that, maybe work a white in there so it pops. Thx, Kristine
Hi Kent, it's getting there. As mentioned before I love the green. Think the background needs to be lighter. Would like 'interior' to pop. Try a line between 'interior' and 'culture'. Try a few more variations of 'I' and 'C'. Thanks for your work. Regards, Kristine
Morning, maybe try the 'i' at the top and loop through to the 'c' but circle doesn't join ......?? just a suggestion haven't seen anyone do that yet. Don't like the colourway of last design but we can work on colours once design is sorted. Thanks Kent. Regards, Kristine
Hi Kent, could you try making the 'c' smaller and tighten the loop between the 'i' and 'c' so it's like a tight curl.....hope you understand what I mean?!?!?! Still not sure on colourway. The jade green is a must, I want a neutral to be the main colour though, maybe should try a gray??? Maybe lighten the tone of entry #209??? I like the dimensional look of entry #227 Thanks, Kristine
Thank you Kristine. I think I know what you mean, if I don't get it right I'll keep trying. When you say main color are you referring to the background?
No looks cartoon like. Initially wanted pattern but Husband said it didn't mean anything and didn't see the point/connection in pattern hence the stylized 'i' and 'c' in semi abstract form. R, Kristine
Was thinking in the wee-small-hours of the morning that maybe I need to go to a white background rather than the darker (even though I've been saying darker all along) as its just not popping out at me.
Could you try putting the logo in a square and also try a diamond, I don't mind if it protrudes out of the square or diamond shape.
Princess Mary of Denmark visited Australia recently, please refer the the website below (and look at picture no.2) for an inspiration of colour palette - her shirt jade green/blue-green, neutral with accents of chocolate and orange - I absolutely love this colour combination but feel a white background will work best with the logo coloured.
You may even get some more inspiration for logo from this shirt, its absolutely beautiful. Maybe some kind of semi-abstract design (floral, etc) that you still see the 'i' and 'c' when you take a good look?!??
Apologies for changing my mind constantly, I just need something to pop out at me - I'll know it when I see it.
Thank you, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
#296 Don't mind this, could you make it more like a brush stroke effect? and work an 'i' and 'c' in there somewhere. I need to appeal to both male and female clients. Commercial and residential. Needs to say yes I can do minimalist and decorative. Needs to speak quality. I really like your design for Georgie. It speaks quality. That's why I asked Georgie to get you on this contest. I haven't made up my mind yet but you may be fed up with me!!!
Regards,
Kristine
ps.....don't you just love the design process....especially clients that can't make up their mind
No I haven't made up my mind yet, still have time. Really haven't thought too much in the past regarding Logo as just made up my own basic business cards a few years ago when I started my study. But now out in the really world and this design needs to speak a lot of things. R, Kristine
I would gladly work more on it. I would really like to be the one to make you a logo you'll be proud of. Designing on this site has got me in touch with clients around the world and within my own city that I wouldn't probably met otherwise. A lot of my designs are more geometric in nature but so far the ones you have been favoring aren't. If you have a chance to look at my portfolio you might see styles that appeal to you that would give me a better idea on what to provide. Thanks again for giving me this opportunity. Kent
#298 This would be my favourite from you so far. Not sure I like the orange being so dominant, however I'm looking past that at the design itself. I would like to see this smaller and with a square around it. I like the 'i' being in the middle with the mirrored 'c' either side.
#297 Don't mind this design either but #298 is more what I'm looking for.
Let's develop 298 forget everything else.
I've looked at your portfolio. Unfortunately it's Georgie's that jumps out at me. I like the font her 'g' 'w' logo is in, how the logo is in a square, how it actually means something, its simple. Of course I don't want mine and hers to end up being too similar. I have spoken to her about this, and that you're working on a design for me and I was concerned the design may end up to be similar to hers. However, we do live a distance away from one another, she is close to CBD where as I'm in the southern beaches of Sydney...close to 1 hours drive away from one another. Demographically and geologically we would not have the same clients in the future but we do mix in the same design circle of The International School of Colour and Design.
#323 Yes, great....simple, geometric. Love the concept of 'i' s in the middle with 'c' s either side.
Large 'i' dominant, this could be due to tone, not sure, could that be toned down a little? Try a single line boarder rather than a block colour around square (remove the lighter blue-green from the scheme altogether, doesn't sit well with me). Darker blue-green is spot on, thank you. Love the neutral background, thank you. Not comfortable with the tone of orange, pops out too much?!? Reduce the chroma (undecided as the whether I'll keep orange in scheme) Lets continue developing this concept, love it. Thanks again for your patience and time on this, you've been a trooper and I've been a nightmare....give me an interior and I'm right, graphic design is not my forte !!!!! Regards, Kristine
Thank you so much Kristine. I think you have been great. I'll make the revisions and go from there. Fine tune it till she's perfect. Thanks again - Kent
Ok, Lets change the 'interior' back to its previous tone in design #323 then use that same colour to outline square. Lets try a darker blue-green on the large 'i' in the centre and use that same tone for 'culture' then stretch 'culture' to be same width as 'interior'. Enlarge letter of 'culture' slightly. Enlarge my name slightly but don't stretch and use same darker blue-green. Create a little more space between logo and 'interior'. Thx, K
Yes, thank you. Would like logo itself a little smaller so it isn't touching the top and bottom boarders of square. Could we see how it looks if the background colour has a slight blue-green undertone and is just a little darker. Thx
Interior color could be slightly lighter to improve visibility. That color inside the logo has more contrast since it is against a darker color. I'll make those variations when I get home. Thank you Kent
Still won't light boarder around square of logo but move in a little so you have the mid blue-green around the outside...not darker blue-green boarder Hope that makes sense
Getting closer....want to see the mid blue-green boarder i.e. the background of the logo itself, around the outside of the light boarder so looks like a double boarder around square. And reduce the height of logo itself, keeping the square the same size thanks
