Hi there,

Here is one of my concepts ... I went for a new way of representing a "hand print" - a hand drawn version.
The four coloured fingers represent the four different elements from the tagline.

Look forward to your comments.

Cheers

Hi Angus, Thanks for being the courageous first entry! Love the hand drawn handprint concept.
Wondering if you would consider showing us a version that has a gold color in the palm print; feeling a desire to make it more colorful.

Also, we're not sure if we want to go with our full name "Community Imprints" or just "Imprints." Could you submit a version with just "Imprints" so we can get a feel for how that would present itself?

MUCH Appreciated! KAS

Hi Kas,

Many thanks for the great feedback and comments, always appreciated!
Here is one new iteration, with the gold colour for the palm. I've also added another colour to the thumb.

Look forward to your comments.

Hi Kas,

And here is another one, but removing "community".
Personally I think its stronger with just imprints :) its shorter and punchier. Most people rarely look at things properly, so we need to capture them quickly, and something shorter is easier to see and remember.

Look forward to your thoughts.

Cheers

Hi Angus, Thanks for a speedy turnaround. Re: # 2 & #3, Love the gold, makes it shine.

Am in communication with our small committee so we can decide whether we want the full program name "Community Imprints" or just "Imprints" in our logo. THanks for submitting both to make it clearer for us to envision. KAS

#1, #2, #3: OK, here's more feedback. The hand drawn handprint concept is fun and speaks well to our young families with children. Yet am concerned it will not resonate as desired with the young professionals we are attracting, specifically male attorneys and financial planners age 28-48, as well as singles/couples without children. Can you show us some more 'sophisticated, elegant' handprint concepts that would speak to a professional young businessperson wanting to leave their handprint/imprint on their community?

Thanks so much for considering this request. KAS

Hi KAS,

Absolute pleasure ... And yep completely agree, I think the gold does make it pop more!
If you'd like to see any other iterations then please do say and I'll happily work it up.

Have a great rest of your weekend,

Angus

A slightly different approach ...
A modern styled hand with a heart combined!

Hi KAS ... And one more more more conservative look :)

Hi A-
I'm liking #4 more modern look a lot. Like the typeface you chose, the lower case i on imprints (and yes, just imprints is a lot stronger than 'community imprints'.

The gold heart-palm is a wonderful touch.

The black circle background is making the design look very bounded to me. which compliments the heavy typeface. but a part of me wants to see it perhaps with a lighter color or some gradiant variance, to give it a sense of moving forward/progressive.

In the others you used the right hand. Any particular reason you switched to the left hand in this one? Just wondering.

Thanks for being so agreeable and turning out more variations. I have a committee that wants some options, so your range of entries is extremely helpful. KAS

Hi KAS,

Thanks again for the great feedback ...
With regards to the left / right hand being used. No major reason, was just as a comparison :)
Here is one with the icon on a light grey background.

And here is one with just a grey border - a surrounding element as opposed to the heavy under element.

Angus,
I'm working with KAS on the committee for this design. Thanks for all of your responses and quick iterations. I'm going to throw a wrench in here...so see what you think. The current heart/hand print entry strikes me as very child-centered--makes me think it's for a children's program. We've used lots of hand prints as an image for the program, but please don't limit yourself to this. We also want to make sure it looks modern, cutting edge, sophisticated--appealing to up-and-coming professionals in their 30s and 40s.

That said, if you can somehow merge the spirit with what you've been going for with others in your profile--NickKellet, your new MindBytes (I like that one), and the MartinJay, it would be great. I really like your modern style, and would love it applied to this a bit more...

Thanks so much! MM

Hi Angus -- I am working with MM and KAS on this -- and am chiming in! I like all three handprint designs, thank you!
Of modern ones (entries #4, 8, 9,10), I especially like the color-variations in the dark background on #10, versus the flat dark background of #4. I also like the green dots on the i's in "imprints" and the tagline horizontal, rather than stacked vertically. I also like the clean look of #8. Could we see this one with the green dots and tagline like #10?
I also like the handdrawn handprint - especially #3. Should we consdier incorproating any color into the words, either "imprints" or the tagline?

I really like this one--a concern is that the tag lines would be too small--what do you think? Limit it to Experiential Giving or make it bigger? What I like about it: the circular image and that some dots go out of the circle to become part of Imprints--good metaphor. Feel free to play with fonts, tweaks on this one--I like where it's headed.

Hi everyone,

Thanks again for the great feedback and comments - think there was a glitch on the website, as it looks like it copied lots of the same comment :)
Sadly, for me, my internet has gone down, so I'm checking this remotely, and at the moment can't upload any more variations - although I've worked on them!
Hopefully this rectifies before the deadline.

Cheers

We have a couple of people in our committee very interested in this design--could you modify it to reflect our colors? I believe they are in the general comments, more sage green, blue, brick...or other ideas to build on this?

Thanks!
