Hi,
Here is my entry. I created a strong hand holding an axe, symbolising pride.
The icon can be perfectly used as stand alone element.
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations and I look forward hearing your comments.

Don't like 32.
#31 is too simple and I don't like the left hand side.
It does not really seem to me like a logo.
