More identifiable mountains added. I did not know if you wanted more scenery, but I kept the cow as the featured item. I also, have been including the stars to represent both quality and American. Please let me know if you would prefer more scenery in the background, that's an easy revision. Also, I went with a cow here, but I can just as easily change it to a steer.

Yes, I see about adding the mountains, so I can make them appear more "Rocky" than hills.

My initial thought was to make the first thing that stood out was the steer (or cow on some of my drawings). Then make the mountains play less of a feature. I can give them equal billing to see if the client prefers. Also, I assume that an emblem style is the way to go.

There's only a few hours left so, I'll try to re-work the designs.

Actually quite the opposite. I almost wish I wouldn't have uploaded our old logo. The owner doesn't quite know what she wants so we wanted to get completely fresh, new ideas in front of her. But we do live in Colorado, where we have mountains, not hills. So that would be pretty distinguishing factor. Either way I love the logo you created.

Got it. It appears that there is more of a leaning toward revamping the old logo (or maintaining the look of the old logo). Should that be the direction to go in?

I think to make it more like mountains and less like hills.

I'm not too sure. The line more pronounced or the color difference between mountain and sky more pronounced?

Maybe if we could see the difference in the line through huwa reserve remember mountains? hopefully that makes sense

We really want to see things that are unique, different than what we have, convey quality and premium product. Color is not necessarily a factor at this point.
