Hi, yes. Plus, any shadows, gradients, 3d effects or other such effects will make your logo a lot harder to use and even impossible to use in some cases. It's always best to have a clean, flat and therefore easy to use logo. Avoid unnecessary headaches.

Do you think adding a "google" shadow to the letter would be too cliche?
