This can also be used as a flash intro with the lines growing into the shape of the logo. Just an idea. From your brief, i think your looking for a logo that is simple and refined to create an innovative target market that "gets the job done' bringing technology home, the ease and comfort of commonplace needs that others may not find simple, yet you make it so. Thus the logo brings that simplicity home. With a caring nature and ease with clean lines and it's very visible.
Different version of the logo using the plugs used in video and audio. with black color lettering. this logo can be created in various color formats, but still keeps the essence of the word mark and icon.
