Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
I like your colorful logos very much, but my partner and others are worried that they're too colorful and may clash with book cover. I really appreciate your color sense and wish we could make one of these work, but I don't think that will be possible. Thank you.
Using #68, can you remove the white book image, which people here don't think looks like a book :), and incorporate HHP in the vertical bars (which look like book spines and we like that)? I honestly don't know if that will work, and if not I won't ask for further changes. Thank you.
Angus, By tomorrow morning I should know which design is the winner, so I'll leave it to you whether you want to wait before doing more versions. Here is what we would request if your design is the winner: a version with a rule/thin box around it because it must be separated from the background on covers. Also, some people here are asking to see a version with a more conservative color treatment of the company name (dark gray? both names purple and Publishers in turquoise?), and/or thinner type for Publishers, letterspaced. I don't know if any of those things will work, but those are questions my team asked. If the gold is taken out of the type, maybe the box around the logo could be gold? Thank you.
Those changes won't be a problem at all would by my pleasure ... I'm just away from my machine, but as soon as I'm back ill happily work up some options. And regardless of the outcome thanks for a great project!
