HillsideLogo Design Contest

Hello,

Here is my proposed logo for the fresh, new brand of Hillside! -->#12... I wanted to create a strong, stand-alone emblem that would look great on anything from large signage down to letterheads or apparel. I also wanted it to be something cool and fresh that would appeal to your youth—something they would love to rock on a shirt!

I will keep working on revisions and post any other great ideas I come up with, but feel free to comment with your thoughts at anytime.

#12 That's sweet my friend. Can you show me a couple of variations of this please? Like, one with out the cross on it. And, maybe some more starry night-ish... like a beacon in the darkness. lol I hope that makes sense.

Just saw your comment, as I was uploading #17. I will get another couple of cross-less ones posted next. Also, I think you will like how this new one feels more like that beacon ;) Glad to see we are on the same page!

Yeah man! I like #18. Is it possible to show me something on #18 with a different colour scheme? Like, where you have red, could you substitute yellow and a medium dark green? Oh, and if it's not asking too much. Could you try #18 with out that star burst int he background? Just curious what that would look like. Thanks for the communication. I love it.

#21 is awesome! Makes me thirsty for Mountain Dew. I don't think those colours will work for what I'm need this logo for. Thanks for listening to my ideas though. I like the black that is on #22. Could you keep that and just change the red to green and yellow? Also, if you have a completely original idea that you are wondering about yet, I like the way your mind works, so just hit me with whatever else you got!

Hey, here's something I didn't think about that one of my friends that I invited here mentioned. We need to be considerate that we could use the words separate from the logo at times. Would you mind running with that idea on a couple of logos?

Here is a different color scheme, as requested: #25... I can certainly get some wordmarks mocked up as well!

With this emblem idea that you're working on, if you were to be the winner of this contest, would you be able to provide us with a emblem and a text only version of this? We're recognizing that we'll likely have uses for both. Thanks.

Yessir, that would be no problem at all. In fact, I should have some text-only versions posted soon, so you can see how it would look.

You're right. They do seem endless. I don't know if only text is what I'm looking for exactly. Probably text with a graphic to the side. Where the graphic could be used on it's own or the text could be used on it's own. Maybe #54 with some sort of graphic or emblem to the left would be what I'm thinking. I hope this helps. Let me know if I'm being too general.

Duuuuuuuuude. #57 is sweet. I like that shadow on the "H" alot. I'll have to do some serious thinking about that one.

Alright man, I've been loving #57 and I wanna keep working with it. But, I think maybe the "Hillside" font is off a bit. What about using something like spleenmachine.ttf from http://www.dafont.com/spleen-machine.font?text=Hillside+Youth+Drop+In+Centre?

Please let me know if asking you to use a font similar to something that I found is not cool. I wanna play by the rules.

#70 is the new font, & #71 is the new font for both the wordmark and the icon.

Good morning. I like #70 as far as the image portion is concerned. I think the text that I suggested and you used (thanks for doing that) is kinda lost with the black and red effect that you have on the text. Could you remove that please? I don't mind seeing a little separation between the letters in hillside. Thanks again.

I've been thinking about #77. I guess what I liked about that font I sent you the link to was that there was a 3D shadow. Would you be able to incorporate that? Even if it comes at the expense of a second colour on the font itself. All red or all black would both be good to see on the word Hillside.

The only other thing that I've been thinking about #77 is the "H" in the image. If it doesn't match the "H" from "Hillside" that's fine, but could you try something a little more sci-fi with the "H" in the image please?

I know it's lots of stuff to tweak but I feel like we're getting pretty close. Thanks again.
