Here are some of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Angus - I really like #37, but was wondering if you could create a version with green on top and red below. Also, could you make a version without the "Est 2014". I'm curious to see what it looks like without it.
Glad you really like, and of course no problems at all, here are a few new variations;
#57 - as per #37 just new green #58 - different green, no Est 2014 #59 - different green again, no Est 2014, and reduced top section #60 - another green, and moved tagline to the top section
Overall, I like #37 the best overall, but one concern is how the logo will look or appear on brown packaging or a brown bag. If I use white package or clear plastic wrap, I think the logo will look good.
I think you will be ok with brown packaging as tonally the red and yellow are in the same direction ... i.e. darkening the red and yellow you'll eventually get to brown.
Here are some options on brown backgrounds; #64, #65, #66, #67 and #68 I think if it goes on dark brown then the simple solution is to make the word Heritage white. But on the lighter shades it works fine.
Another alternative is to have two versions - 1 full colour for when on clear or white backgrounds and a monotone for when it goes on the paper bags ... like a dark brown if they are light brown bags, or even black.
