I love the Thermostat concept behind... NICE! I wonder - what if the "AND" on the thermostat was BLACK instead of white? (or just more visible) I worry it gets lost - and because "HeatingandAir.com" is our Domain Name - we need people to remember that we are "heating AND air DOT COM".
Could we make ".com" black, or stronger?
Also, the slogan "Comfort Today..." could be larger, and stronger.
The Thermostat could be Bigger, more visible? Maybe add the little dial thing?
WHAT I LOVE is how bold the fonts are - the font itself, and the 2 colors... NICE.
Thank you for the feedback. Glad you like it so far.
Knowing that you want to have maximum impact on your company vehicles. We need to figure out how we can make the logo stacked like my entry #45. The name of your company is pretty long. The passenger side of a full size van will take a logo that is 22" tall by 52" wide. The driver side is not as critical. The "money shot" on vehicle advertising is the rear of the vehicle. You have about 28" to work with on the drivers side (rear door). Most of the vans have the license plate bracket on the opposite door.
Are you opposed to seeing the logo in a stacked version? I will be happy to work on those variations if you like.
The black for "and" does look better. The dial marker may be too much.
I like the black outline around the lettering too... looks solid and sporty.
I like Entry # 62 a lot, but I don't like the "And" Stacked. On # 62, I'd also like to see the slogan in the black reverse oval like on Entry # 52.
Entry 52 might be my favorite... but the swoosh lines through the letters make them hard to read and busy. I know we want more than just plain text - ideas? Gradient? A thinner Straight line? Shine? On 52 - Maybe even the black border w/ the white outline around the words? I also like how the font here is slightly italicized... did you try that on the other one?
I will try and get the revisions to you by Saturday evening...Sunday morning at the latest. Busy with the family in the morning. Thanks for the recent ranking and feedback.
I think I like the thermostat on the left. I also like the look of the needle on #77. The longer needle on the other looks more like a clock or a pressure Gauge.
Lets combine #77 and #52.
1. I don't like the business of the beveled font in #77 OR the line cut out in #52. Lets try the font by itself... with the layout of #52 (as far as font position) but with the ".com" bigger. 2. I like the black reverse bullet that says "Comfort Today is 1 Call Away" - Can that font get bigger, bolder? 3. I like the positioning on #77 of the thermostat dial in relation to the font. Can we keep it there, but bring back the grey circle lines? 4. I know I had asked for an outline around the font - I don't like the execution on #77 - the execution of the outline was closer to what I envisioned on #79 or #80 - or maybe it can go away altogether? 5. Now that we are close, lets look to simplify it - make it extremely legible, and maybe add a few tweaks... not reinvent the design... I think you and the other guy are close to something we can really like.
I have uploaded several variations as requested. I will be unable to make any revisions this evening, however, please leave me feedback and I will work on those areas in the morning. I like the direction that these designs are going and they will look great on vehicles. Do you know the make and model of the vehicles that they will be applied? I can let you know the size of the letters and visibility for readability and maximum impact.
You changed the Spacing... I like the spacing from Entry #52...
Heating and AIR .com
I don't know if that makes sense or not, but before it was a lot more stylized - now it seems more just like we ran out of room... I like the "and" top aligned with the top of the second row, and indented. I like the ".com" bottom Aligned with the bottom of row 2. Both can be about the same size.
I don't like the marker on the thermostat... I get it - but it is crowded and leaves me feeling like some ink spilled on the design. Lets leave it off.
I think I'd like to see these "higher res" they aren't looking so clear on my screen...
First, the resolution sucks due to logotournament compression. The files will be 100% vector files that can be enlarged to infinity without any loss of quality. Red is the worst color only this site, we complain constantly for better resolution.
I think I am following you only the changes. I will upload them asap. Thanks for the feefback. It is a little more dificult to get it right communicating this way. I will keep working until we get it right.
Checking to see If I have everything covered so I can make the changes in the morning...
A) Text from #52 and increase the ".com" to the same size as "and". B) Remove lines from text of Heating & Air C) Place needle on thermostat to middle of warm and cool D) Use the slogan bar from #88 E) Apply outer border around logo as #88
If you catch this note before tomorrow morning, let me know if I have misunderstood the direction. Thanks for be so patient.
Kyle - I'm pretty excited - this looks good. A couple of additional points:
1. General "Clean Up". What I mean here is that there are quite a few of these logos that have little lines of color between __ the - words. (Do you see what I mean? Check out Entry #97- it has a grey line above the "and". These little details were of little concern to me prior to the end of the concept, but now it is over - I'm wanting to zero in on the detail... making it clean. Another item on general clean up is making sure everything is square, balanced, etc.
2. Proportion. How big should "Heating and Air .com" be next to the thermostat, etc.
3. Balancing the text / bubbles around them. How thick should white around text be? How thick should black around white be? (I like #97, I like 99, etc.)
1.) General Clean Up: Yep, in order to have flexibility to make changes I did not clean all of the lines up. I will take care of this for you.
2) Proportion: This is something you will have to tell me. On a service van we will have about 22" in height to work with to stay out of the wells on the side of a van. By staying out of the wells you will have longer lasting graphics. At the current scale we do not have anything to worry about. I will send you an example of the text equal to the height of the thermostat.
3) Again, personal preference. There is plenty of room between the text and black at this point for vehicle graphics. Could become an issue when dealing with embroidery. For embroidery we may want to drop the shadow completely. this will do two things, save stitches (cost) and add clarity on embroidery and other small items such as pens. The logo will be 100% editable by your vendor, so you can delete as needed. I can also provide this version upon request.
