I like your designs, but right now they are a little to cartoonie. I need a serious logo for this business with hard lines and a mature, professional feel. Hope this helps. Thanks
Your feedback is great. This helps us (designers) move more in the direction you are looking for. I'll submit more with your suggestions in mind. Any other thoughts or suggestion are appreciated.
I like #26 and #25. I don't like the color blue on the inc. Can you make the "J" a dark brown and maybe make the black color on the bird a dark brown color also to match the "J". Thanks!
Can you do another one like #47 with the circle but make it with the darker brown color like on #49, and then do one like #47 with and another one without the white line through the word "blue" like on #49. Thanks!
I think I still like #47 the best. Could you try making another one like #47 with the bottom part of the circle fade to a brown color to match the J. Thanks
I'm introducing a couple of more ideas in #125 and #126 with a chrome outline. I'm not sure if I like them as much as the simpler ones (I do like #47 also since it is a clean logo) but, I felt that I had to add some more options, to throw some of the other designers off my scent, so-to-speak.
I am beginning to feel that some are copying the Bluejay (from the coloring to the way the neckline is silhouetted ) right down to the way I laid-out the design and blue gradient. LT's rule is that each design has to be significantly different, but unfortunately not everyone is so respectful. I have already contacted a couple of designers and they withdrew some of the more blatant copies, but it is frustrating to have the copies keep popping-up.
As always, please let me know if there is any additional changes you may want to see. Thank you.
I like what you did with #122 on the bottom with "inc" and the "J" but I feel like #100 is more balanced, I also like the Bird better on #100. Can you take the changes you made in #122 and incorporate them in #100. In other words, keep the shape and balance of #100 but add the color and design of #122. Thanks!
Thanks I'll rework them. Good catch, your right, I made the angle too sloped on #122. Also, I'll clean the lower right slope on the Jay's neck in #125. I see that the curve is not quite as nicely "flowing".
I like # 136. Can you make the "J" on #136 also have an silver outline, kind of like the "J" on #132. I think that will help to balance it. Also do one of the "inc" on #136 with the silver outline and one without, maybe a few iterations of the #136, also maybe do the #136 with some silver outlines around the word "blue" well. Thanks for you good work.
No problem. I gave the "J" the beveled look that the bird has and separated it more from the word 'Blue". This gives it a cleaner look without it being too crowded against "Blue". Let me know what you think.
Your genius idea to include the silver color into this logo has got me thinking. I'd like to see the brown in the middle of the "inc" and the "J" replaced by red. Also do one in yellow and any other color you think would be good. Thanks again for the good work.
I like the red the best. On #149 could you make the silver outline of the "J" more straight edged. Now it has a slight wave on the outline of the "J" Could you make it more solid and clean looking with the silver outline of the "J". Thanks a million.
I toned the effect a bit and changed the angle of the highlights. The wavy look is an optical illusion created by the low resolution images. I think that illusion has now been minimized by the angle of the reflect and I also added a very, very thin line to the out side edge of the chrome.
Okay, keep #151 the same except change the red color on the "inc." and "J" to a brighter red, more like #149's red color, and do a few iterations of red shades. Thanks!
I uploaded two more versions of red. I made more but, because these uploads are somewhat low resolution jpegs, the differences in slight hue variations are not discernible. Also, keep in mind that the color may have variances from monitor to monitor. Even after a contest is ended, making color adjustments are OK. :)
Great job! I was sad I had to give second and third place away to other designers. I love the design, yours was the best by far! I know I was picky but you did a great job. I want to make sure and get this logo in as many different formats as I can. Once you've been paid, please make sure I get the logos in all the standard formats. Also I may want to have you do other work for me in the future, leave your email address as well for my reference. Thanks again for truly prodigious work!
