Looks like a bee more than owl.
Think losing the wings and tail hurt so, if you want to keep trying, I'd reinstate those features and just simplify them somehow.

This maroon is nice. We sent out a survey and no one seemed to prefer the keyhole, so let's scrap that idea. Most folks have voted for one of the first two ranked logos. If you want to keep trying, my advice would be to make the owl body more modern and change to a darker, more vibrant, blue. I like the owl face tough.

Also, can the keyhole be be beveled to look more stereotypical? Triangular base.

We like the way this has no bolded letters. However the font itself isn't as modern as your other one. TY!

We're still wrangling with the font here. The "lakehouse" part is too small and the all caps style seems a bit overwhelming for the owl. Maybe in the same font as the word Owl and not in bold? Thank you!

Key Hole Version

Can we try a keyhole in the belly instead of a heart? Also, instead of the cursive, a very modern sans serif.

Ah, I see. I meant for the back to be curved more the other. More concave than convex. And then curl upward a bit like a wave.

Thanks for the effort! I actually prefer the previous design because it is less busy. Maybe you can just make the back of the owl in the last one less straight, more curved (wave-like)?

Some recommendations...
Blue would add a more aquatic feel, as might adding more wave-like curves into the shape of the owl. Might also want to try putting the owl above the text as a variant, though not necessary.
