I like the idea, just not the camo.

I am glad to hear that. I will re-work the design and post a clear one. If you have any ideas on my designs - share them with me, I will be happy. :)

I like number 6 and 7, I will think about them and let you know in a little while. Thank you for your willingness to work with me and we can figure out what I want...

Thank you again and I will let you know soon,

#6 - Would you change the color of the name to Purples for the Handyman and Blue for Scott?
#7 - I like the idea, but the colors are off a bit for me. Please try with less green.

I love the way you have used the variety of tools to capture the range of services I can provide. This part I really want to pursue/keep in all designs.

Can you "build" the word Handyman out of tools, cleanly? Keep Scott in true text. I would like to try that idea.

#13 - Handy man written with tools. I made it simple as it is for you to evaluate. If you like the idea I will make it more complex and developed.

#12 - I used purple for handyman and blue for Scott, tried a different approach on the shape of the logo so you can figure out a style. I have some more shapes to fit the objects and will try them if you want.

#11 - Also a different shape with the tools in bubbles - the tools are clear and the "viewer" knows what it is. The "bubbles" are shiny, with some gloss - for the smooth and clean job you do. Your slogan is also used in this design.

#10 - The same as number 11, but with the slogan curved around the shape and a shine less.

#9 - Handyman is written in a "wood" style, wood nailed together - you see what I ment here. The bubbles in which the tools are placed are also used here - they creat the illusion of "plenty" of stuff you do. Scott is in blue letters with a shiny effect - again, a style that references to your best tidy and clean job the client needs. I didn't use any shape on this design.

#8 - I did what you asked me to do - changed the colors a bit - "handyman" is in purples, and Scott in blue. The outer ring is in darker green, less noticable.

GREAT WORK!!

1) I would like to see #9 with the wood colored in in brown / tan and the tools out of the bubbles (like you have them in #7). That is one version I would like to explore.

2) The other is the same #9 with wood colored brown / tan (wood color) and then the tools making a loose frame around the entire Handyman Scott name like the border you have on # 12 (with no line between Handyman and Scott

3) everything like on the one above and add a tape measure for the line between Handyman and Scott.

Do you have an e-mail I may send you a quick sketch on, or do you know if there is a way on this site for me to send you a picture? I do not want to break rules, but would like to send a drawing / picture to you.

I believe we are coming close.

Thanks again for your continued work,
Scott

I am very glad to hear, that you liked what I did for you. I do want to see a sketch, but it will be against the rules if you send it only to me. So If you can share it with all designers, it will be ok. If you have time, you can write something in the forum and ask how to proceed on that matter. If you don't, I can do it for you. Now I am starting on your requests. I appreciate your time in giving directions, I will not disappoint you.

Hi, I made some new versions for you to see, but you didn't evaluate #10 and #11 from last time. Also you didn't say anything about the way I designed "Scott" in entry #9 - flowing glossy letters.
Let me fill you in for the new designs:

#18 - Handyman is in brown, the tools are ontop of it, out of the bubbles
#19 - The same as 18, but I wanted this design to look like the letters are painted white.
#20 - A tape measure is in between the Scott and handyman, the tape itself is "seen" from the side.
#21 - This time the tape measure is "seen" from the top, I didn't draw the "tape body" as it won't be comprehensible. If you want I can draw it for you.
#23 - The tools are forming a border, as you requested.
#24 - I made some background for "Scott".
#25 - Scott is "written" on a ruler.
#26 - A different approach on the ruler.

I hope you get my ideas, I am ready if you have any questions and requests.

Sincerelly,

I see you ranged my newest designs, but you didn't leave any comment. I would appreciate if you have any questions and/or ideas to share them with me. Do you like me to continue on presenting more variations of the logos for you, I have some ideas left in my sleeve. ;)

18, 19, 20, 21 are good. I LOVE the saw cutting the "H" ... AWESOME

1) #18 Can you enlarge Handyman large enough to make a tool U-shaped "frame" around Scott. Remove the

2) #18 like on the one above and then have the tape measure from #20 wrap the entire logo.

I like it without the bubbles.

the U-shaped idea:

HANDYMAN
* *
* SCOTT *
* *
* * * *

(with the saw on the H) and the " **** " being various tools and or the tape measure

I hope that helps get the idea to you. That is the concept I wanted to send you a picture of.

I like the way you have the tools as they are in #18.

Please show me what is up your sleeve ;) I like your work.

Hi, I did what I could and I think I reproduced your idea. However, to be honest, I didn't quite get it so I did what my imagination interpreted on the info you gave me. Please, feel free to correct my idea of U shape / #30 /

#31 is a new design - badge-like - you are still serveing to the community, but now as a professional handyman. Just for you to see something different.

#32 is also something new - I wanted it to look like a sign - on each edge I "bolted" some screws. The tools are "engraved" on the metal plate.

#33 is very cool, the tape measure around the logo as a frame.

#34 - the tape measure is like the "hole" in the letter O, you can see yourself.

I will make a "handy belt" as soon as I can, and if you like that ofcourse. Another idea I will present you is a "HANDYMAN" with the letters as "pockets" for the tools, and ofcourse, the tools in them.

I hope you like the new designs and that we are getting closer to what you have in mind. I am very much open to your corrections.

#30 if you could make the "U" shape squared off with the tools.

#31 & #32 I think when the tools are embroidered would disappear.

#30 I like the way the the Handyman is larger than Scott. Can you try and combine the Larger Handyman and tools around the bottom and the "O" tape measure encompassing the whole logo in a squared design.

Does that make sense?

Scott.

I am very sorry for being that late with the new designs and remakes. I did what I could on the things you asked. I am preparing some new designs for you to see, so you have a variaty to choose from. Do you like the colors I have chosen so far, or do you like me to try some new ones? Do you like the composition - I mean if you want me to include more tools or elements in the design. Do you want Scott's glossy feel a bit different. Feedback is very important to me - that is the only way I can make exactly what you want. Feel free to tell me if something is not clicking with you, and you don't feel like this is the logo you like. I will give my best to get to the design you want.

Could you include a chop saw or miter saw with stand ? maybe, next to the monitor. (http://www.ridgid.com/ASSETS/180F33109212459C91C9C1CCD035D096/MS1290LZA_1_Final.jpg ) and stand (http://www.ridgid.com/ASSETS/579C3193DBAF48D78E4F3C7FFE11300C/AC9944_1_Final.jpg) this is to be very specific for you to see the color schemes of the tools I use. I do not expect or want the tools to be as detailed as the links. I like the clip art style, as they are much easier to identify.

The glossy is just fine, if you have ideas on changing color schemes.

I like the composition so far, if you have ideas on colors, please give me a couple of variations.

Specifically for the tools I use: Black handle and light gray blade on the handsaw, tan handle and silver head on shovel, Orange and gray drill ( I use RIDGID Brand tools - www.ridgid.com), Yellow body and black inner circle on the tape measure, green handle of the screwdriver.

I like the wood handyman and the handsaw in the H!!

I am very good with 3-D art work, and very poor on the 2-D. I am open to your thoughts as well. #39 and #40 are very close to what I was after. I trust your ideas now and am open to you new ideas you mentioned. I enjoy that we are open to communicate with each other freely; it is very important to do so and work towards the perfect logo for my business.

Thanks again,
Scott

Lets focus on #54 with the tools working and the flag monitor,

1) would you move the wrench to the bottom of the last "A" in Handyman. Please turn the Tape measure body around (it is backwards compared to the end of the tape) and have the head just a hair higher than the "S" on Scott.

2) #54 please try the tape measure coming from the "O" , dropping straight down and turning at a 90 deg angle and stopping under the "S" (with tab aimed up - the "tab" is the part of the tape that holds the end of the wood)

3) #54 Will you add the tape inside the "O" and have it go around the entire logo like you have it in #40, using the colored tape measure and thicker tape like you used in #51.

You are the one person on this contest that is on the right track and able to understand my requests. I will recommend you to my friends who are looking for logos also. You have been my first choice for most of the competition. I have no fear you will win my design.

Thank you and I look forward to the changes.

#66 would you put the tape measure in the "O"?

Thank you,
Scott

on #73, would you raise the tape measure closer to the bottom of Scott and to the top of the monitor. Overall shape more rectangular than square for the tape.

Sure, right away :)

On #65, could you have a little more space between the tape and the bottom of SCO

#74 Scott in Royal Blue

#64 can you make the handle of the Tape scaled a little larger, the tape part is fine, just the handle.

Thank you
We are almost finished, thank you for all your work and effort
