I don't know what you've tried, but maybe flipping the hands so that they match (like clapping)... Not sure if it works...

Swap top for bottom hand?
Gradient - works needs some fiddle.
Concepually - Not sure how to show "dirty" / is there an implicit "hand off" from top hand to bottom hand?
