Nice design and looking forward to more of your creative ideas! The group goes a bit back-and-forth on how "formal" to make this logo. Boaters are by nature a pretty casual bunch (at least when out on the water!) but they are affluent and the City of Hampton (a major sponsor) wouldn't go for a beer keg icon. lol So I think this is a good example to show the group for a formal treatment, and where you could take that ... now it would be nice to see you take it down a few pegs and do something more boating "event-ey." I like the twin boat concept, almost like swimming dolphins ... so maybe take that somewhere. Work the dolphins and/or work the two types of boats participating in the event (sailboats and trawler-type power boats). Also please continue to review my on-going high-level general comments and tips, made to the entire group in the LogoTournament Brief. These are very important. Great job so far!
