Simple, bold, conservative, and timeless... at the same time a visually intriguing solution with the dominant letter forms shown in blue and the Ampersand reversed out in the middle. A nice play on positive and negative space.
Another option. Instead of literally showing a globe, what if the logo made a subtle reference to real estate (i.e. structures) and also was super simple such that it could compete against the worlds biggest brands. In other words, it just looks like a global company through design....
I really like this re-design for a couple of reasons. The blue circle, as desired, references the globe. The letters have been made heavier and more sturdy. But best of all it is the hidden arrow pointing due north that suggests investment growth and positive returns.

A simple spherical lighting treatment enhances the global aspect. As well, the design is still very effective as a one color solution which is desired when creating a logo.
