Is there a way you can put the type out to the side... so this works in a more horizontal rectangle like area.... A holding line to help shape the rectangle could be nice too.

One of the criteria the team is asking for is it just hold together in that rectangle shape

Instead of the buildings- maybe we can try the shape of Florida place in white where the buildings are now

The logo needs to represent business as well.... I do love the boat and sails..but I'm wondering if we can take a skyline of Tallahassee the capital... google capital of Florida and you can see some reference- basically 2, 3 or 5 buildings that are authentically from Florida capital in place of the sails. WE leave the boat and wave elements.. just switch the sails to look like buildings that can represent the blend of sun, waves and business
