Oh! I know.. In MS Word, there is a feature called Word Art (I think) where the text can take the shape of the shape it is in.. Can the word Green me made into a triangular shape (but not outlined) to form the word Green and use that as the peak of the roof?
Can you put a bit of space between the top of the slant lines that form the roof and the top of the mountain peak lines so that they don't connect? Or maybe just have that little bit of space and instead of an actual mountain peak on top, just two slanted lines that go up (two sides of a triangle) that suggest a mountain peak?
Maybe. I know we were trying to keep text from being buried in the art work, but now it looks like it could maybe use something over the top of the words. Two lines to complete the peak? An actual mountain peak to pull in that mountain concept? I know it is getting very "busy" again, but trying to have my options to choose. THANK YOU
If possible, would really like to see at least one example of one with half of icon on each side with words in center. That really could give the impression of a building. And if the top points of each side of the icon were just a little bit higher than the top level of the text, then perhaps it would also give the appearance of mountains??
oh! I like the green on the roof slant. Helps to suggest a green mountain to me. Remove line from just under the icon section. Maybe stack Green, then mountain, then timber, and finally frames all on top of one another?? Then the dark underline could be under just the word frames? Or between mountain and timber? Or not used at all? Or just under the icon? Can't picture it so would have to see it
Timber Frames, when slid to the right, could be also stacked, or stretched out as is, but I also don't want the font for TF to be too much smaller than for GM
This seems closest so far. Shift the icon to the left so it stands alone. I like the font on Green Mountan. Move Timber Frames so it is entirely under GM
Like the green better than this color. You can withdraw this
And as per last note, lets go back to art work on left and text on right. It is ok to "stack" the lines of text if needed. And can try adding Est. 1990
Interesting addition of the mountain beneath the rooftop. But now that I see the square look, not liking it as much as the more elongtated. Go back to art work on left and text on right. Green Mountain can be a little bigger than Timber Frames but not as much difference as here. If you need to add any text to balance things out, can try addition of Since 1990, or Est. 1990 if that works. Like this green
Maybe a "stronger" font for Green Mountain?" and if you stacked the words Green Mountain s that the whole thing is not such a long rectangular shape?
Thank you
I like the use of just the rafters here--as opposed to later entries where it appears that you are trying to put the roof over a house. Though I love this green, I don't believe I can use a solid dark background. But this layout with rafters on top and text below feels best
I just uploaded a new file to my brief. That give a feeling of strength--heavy beams, tongue and groove, wooden pegs that join beams together. The art you use in the icon does not suggest those same qualities to me. Make it look more solid--stronger!
Colors are getting better/richer. Would like some green. The black below the roof here suggests to me that there is nothing uner the roof---it's just floating above a black hole. Need to show strenghth and support and durability and longevity. Something that is SOLID and that you can trust
The logo that is currently on there is only a sample mock-up. Final version to be used should have a clear background and colors of the logo should not get lost in the background once the logo is "clear" and any white background goes away. Thank you
I do not use the initials GMTF. Green is too bright and yellowish. Need richer deep green and tans/beiges. Leaning away from maroons (which is how this looks on my screen).
When I look at this, I see color gradation in the art at the top, and I am concerned as to how this will replicate/copy onto various materials (e.g what happens when someone photocopies a letter, or I want to embroider logo on T-shirts. Trying to keep it clean and simple. (But I do see how you are moving toward combo of representing mountains and timber framing in that top art
These colors are rich looking, but I have been advised that this dark background may not replicate/copy well onto some of the materials where it would be used. Looking for "clear" backgrounds. Also like that you keep text and icon/art separate. Would like to see some options with the framing on top and wording either "stacked" below it to make an overall square logo, or with icon on the left and wording stacked to the right. Thank you
