One thing I like about the bowl image is that it helps convey that the site is about food. I think it's just the shape of the bowl that reminds me of the mortar and pestle.

I like this. The only element I'm not sure about is the bowl. It reminds me of a mortar/pestle that you might see in a pharmacy logo, like the one used in an older version of the Walgreens logo.
