Hi there, please find my entries attached. I've been to Speyside a few times and the things that I take from it are the the stunning scenery, Avimore and the Cairngormes, the river Spey and the whisky which is made from the waters of the Spey - so I've tried to capture all of these aspects in my design. The top section shows the stylised Cairngormes and the swoosh coming from the R represents the spey. By showing both these elements within the logo it allows for reference to all of the major activities within the area - nature trails, hillwalking, fishing, whisky etc etc.
The font used is a modern Scottish style - offers a balance of tradition and contemporary.

New concept which uses a very simple, friendly little character on the top of the T - a little thistle - the idea being you can use him to point at different items on the site as requested.
The swooshes under the logo again are used to represent the River Spey.

Hi, thanks for the feedback - really glad you like them. Yeah I know the area, it's a handy location for me if I need a wee weekend away - I wanted to try capture the whole spirit of the area in my designs. I'll work a version of him pointing for you and upload over the next day or so. Cheers. BMF

One question, we were wondering how it would look if the word Greater was slightly smaller than the word Speyside, would that be possible? Also, would you be able to produce a version in 'inverted' colours for dark backgrounds or on photos? Many thanks!
Hi, thanks again for the feedback. Attached are the new versions. For the dark backgrounds there's two solutions, either lighten the colours or create another version of the logo that is contained within an emblem style. I've also uploaded a couple of pointing characters too.

Hi, thank you so much for your efforts. It has been a little difficult to get the people together that have final say. We love your design so no worries! Thanks for the inverted colour logos, there not quite suitable as we're looking for an option for the logo to stand out on photos rather than plain black or dark backgrounds. Maybe just more white?
Finally, where you have shown the option of the word Greater being smaller than Speyside, could you try it in the same way as #19? No fancy changes needed, really the logo is great, just a simple test if the smaller word would look better . And we were also wondering if we could have the final logo with the option of having GreaterSpeyside written next to each other.
