Hi Josh

I do like it, so it is definately in the final. How would the same deisgn look in marine blue. It may be to serious but then again it may convey are little more professionalism.

Would you try that ?

Hi Ralf :) Here a couple variations. #6 is marine blue. #7 is blue & green, with a pea under one side of the book - a subtle reference to the H.C. Andersen tale. I thought that could be a whimsical - but not too outlandish - link to your store. If you like that more whimsical direction, I's be happy to pursue that. If you have any other ideas you'd like me to try, please let me know.

thanks

Also - I've been designing in a one / two colors so that it's more economical to use. You could easily create ink stamps for receipts, have simple paper bags printed or to create your own merchandise (bookmarks, tshirts, etc.)

Here's another idea I had. My concept is based around "grandma's house" (as a theme in children's books) and also that your bookshop is a house of books. The steam from the tea (a symbol of granny in the dainty cup) creates "smoke" from the "book house". The over-turned book resembling the roof implies that "granny" is actively reading from a stack of books (or else she'd have used a bookmark like in the other books). This implies that "granny" is educated and continues to be current in her knowledge of children's books.

thank you for your consideration

Hi :) I added a pair of reading glasses; my thinking being that that is something most grandparents can relate to.

thanks
