This is quite intriguing. Leave the basic shape of the curve and make the far right of the curve to be more pointed than round.

The starburst in the 8 is interesting. Provides some of the idea of transformation. But, the rest of the logo doesn't quite work for me.

Like the G. Would like the whole GR8 to show more forward motion. A big problem that I have with the GR8 is most people see GR8 and do not think "great" instead they think G R 8. Design needs to promote "great"
