Hi :) Just saw this contest and had to give it a shot! I'm imaging this being on a long, vanilla-colored cuff-style wrapper (like the brown wrapper around a hershey's bar), although it would fit just as well on a standard pressure-sensitive label, too.
Any changes / tweaks that you have just let me know :)
Thanks, Josh. I like this, but am still leaning toward the tree. This is going to be packaged in gift boxes, not individually wrapped. I'm thinking a white box with a gold ribbon. I have a personal question. You wouldn't happen to live in Great Falls, Montana?
actually - how do you feel about the type/layout/aesthetic of the logo? Would you be interested in a tree/woman using that style of illustration?
I forgot to write my description, but the thinking behind my initial logo was that a lot of people may not recognize an almond tree (perhaps mistaking it for a cherry / dogwood tree), so by showing everything zoomed in, you still get the effect of a woman / Eve (longer fingernails, more slender hand) reaching for the now recognizable almonds...or that was my pitch anyway :)
I would be interested in that style. Can you work on something? I have a relative who is an artist, and looks a bit like your photo, so was just checking. Would have been funny! Thanks, Joanne
OH NO! I didn't realize the contest was in Top 5 mode already. Would it be possible for you to temporarily rank me in the top 5 designers so I can upload my new entry, and then you can switch it back to whatever you think it should be? I'd just hate for this entry to go to waste. I've got about 15 more minutes worth of work on it for it to be ready.
sorry - I totally didn't realize that when you said you'd want to see that illustration.
