Thank you for the opportunity, but I am going to pass. Other designers completely ripped off the look of my emblem, so I am moving onto other endeavors. You have a really great couple of options, so I know you will find what you need from them. Best of luck to you.

Are you working on an updated logo to incorporate the comments above?

One of my staff members said it looks a little too much like a Irish leprechaun...he sees the Lucky Charm guy in this design, but likes the concept.

I want to run this by my staff to get their comments too.

I like the grunge look. The words Fairbanks, Alaska need to be added to the design. It doesn't "scream" rock 'n roll to me - it's not clear to me that he's "playing" a pickaxe or giving tribute to the classic Joan Jett song. I think there needs to be more than just 2 colors. Thanks for the work on this! We are really excited to have a fun, vibrant design with this year's theme!

Here is a close-up of the shredding old-time miner. This could easily be its own standalone alternate logo for when we don't want to use the entire emblem.

And the second option with the vintage look...

A second color option... We could do white or gold shirts (or even brown)

And here it is with a grunge layer over the top, which would give shirts and other things a really cool vintage feel.

Here is my proposed design for Golden Days: a rocking out old-time miner, just shredding away on his axe (pick axe, that is). I wanted to make something that people would absolutely love to rock on a t-shirt or other fun swag, so that was what inspired this round emblem. It will look great at any size, and is very easy to reproduce via silkscreening.
