Very nice Luckykid! I like the way you have captured what I am aiming for in design elements. I like the font styling, foreground and background shapes as well as the color combinations. I think maroon could be utilized in place of some of the orange- perhaps in the back "boomerang." The sizing and separation of the words/letters could be improved sot show some separation. If you get a chance, it would be interesting to see another version. Thanks for joining my contest!
Nicely done! Perhaps a version with some de-emphasis of the GRC (reduce in size relative to the rest of the design) would be a refinement... The R looks a bit like a D at a glance. I like what you have done with get ready coaching in maroon and with the location of the other maroon. What a delight this creative process is. I am just floored by the number of winners in this contest! What a gallery!!! Thanks for sharing your works of art and talents!!!
A new concept may be to go inward with the concentric circles??? Maybe this could be done with this design? A couple monochromatic teal blue's followed by the orange yellow and then into the GRC borders...?
Hi again, entry 156 and 183 separated you from the other designs more than the latest two. They hinted at ideas relating to space (inner? Outer?). A Star Trek shape in the background makes me think space. Perhaps you can continue to go "out there" in a mod way or whatever else this feedback generates in your imagination. Thank you!!!
Great! I still have to get feedback from my elementary school art teacher wife tomorrow. There may be some rotation in the top 5 during that phase. I do have 4 fairly solid at the moment to be upfront. I am grateful that you have joined in the contest!!!
Wow! Up one spot immediately. Can you show a version with the GRC a bit less emphasized? The other elements are so nice- including the incline. I do like that you put that into the mix. I am feeling quite spoiled in this process. It is unreal!
I'm here for you, even after the contest if you ever need anything. This is what I have been doing for over 20 years. I'm glad I had the opportunity to enter.
It shows! Thanks for meeting the challenge, seizing the opportunity and doing extraordinary work! Excellent! :) I like the styling of the monochromatic orange and oval, so I will keep pondering the tag lines. Entry #206 is good in that it gives a comparison and confirms how much I like the dark maroon brown of the others. Time for bed for me. I am glad I opened the contest an extra day too!
The brutally honest feedback from my wife is that the sparkly retro logo seems better suited for a soda pop company. I still like it, but if you have anything else up your sleeve and are willing, it would be fun to wow her. She thinks the design elements can be retro, but need to convey the message of helpin to foster the greatness of others. Thank you!
I would be glad to work on this more. I have to run out. Taking wife, daughter and mother-in-law to my parents for dinner (bring the main course too :))
Enjoy celebrating the 4th. I have confidence in another gem coming from your imagination. I will send some extra guidance to go on later. I don't just "still like" the current design, I think it is spectacular! I have a good problem to have- people around the world creating beautiful art work on by behalf providing more wonderful logos than I can use. I'll put something together to assist you... Thank you so much!!!
Hi again, It looks like my wife was referring to another design on the food/beverage comment. The main thing for your beauty is that it is so stylized now (what an evolution from the first choices!!!) that it might speak to a narrow audience (those who appreciate super hip!!!). It is a great for a retro-based company of some kind in her view. After talking more with her, there are two key components to my logo- first the visual shoud be stylish (this is key for me after seeing all that you can do), and secondly, it should clearly represent life coaching or a sense of readiness for life. Let me know if you want more to go on. Thanks!!!
Hi there. I'm not home yet, just checking in from my Mom's computer. If there is anything you have in mind to help guide me to the perfect idea, I'd love to hear them. Thanks again - Kent
Something akin to a retro clock using colorful and or varying sized circles with the Get in one, Ready in another and Coaching in a third circle... or the circles could decrease in size as they make the form of a spiral- again with the varying colors... Meanwhile, your other design keeps growing on me...
Hi again, More food for thought away from design elements (I just keep getting sucked in to the minutiae). Why get ready? What does it mean to have a coaching relationship founded on this idea of get ready???
The "ready state" is one in which there is no division between the activity and the actor. It is "the zone," where one is in the flow. Get ready embodies life-long learning and the act of fresh learning right now. It is a sense of every step along the way matters and every aspect matters. It really is "how you play the game" that matters.
Never mind the hyper focus on end results. The game is lost (you aren't loving what you are doing) before you start if all that matters is win or lose. The game is won every step of the way if you are engaged, dialed-in to what you are doing, loving what you are doing, in the flow, in harmony. You are alive, vital, in the active present!!!
Living, learning, action happens now. This sense or state seems rare for most. Nobody really "has it" for good. There is a fresh opportunity right now. Take it or leave it.
What is the meaning of life? I don't know. Make meaning. Make it right now. "Take your best shot and don't blow it." (Styx) What are we going for right now? Settling for mediocrity or is extraordinary an option?
"Winning isn't everything, it is the only thing." (V. Lombardi) This isn't about the result in truth. It is about true preparation. It is about giving your all to the endeavor- whatever it might be wire to wire, beginning to beginning to beginning.
Get Ready! Ready for what? Challenge, opportunity, what may come. Get ready. Be extraordinary. Start now... and now... and now.
Be fresh for what comes.
There you go with some deeper "background knowledge."
Just one more quick edit to the current design... A couple friends rated #205 above 238. I like taking the big sparkle back out. What I do like is the medium in 238. Can you edit the large one out of 238 and leave the medium in? Thanks!
I want to go wherever #280 would take me!!! :) That one is super over the top!!! I like the less is more of #264, but I do like the alternative of get ready coaching and no grc as well as the spiral. The jack symbol is probably okay to leave off. The teal wisps get a bit lost behind the get ready coaching. I will keep soaking it in and wonder what else you might have cooking. Thanks!!!
Top spot! I still need to sit down with my wife and feel like there is a four way designer tie. I can't underscore how professional, personable and responsive this community is at logotourney. I have had loads of amazing customer service. Can you show me what the black and white looks like? Thank you!!!
I sat down and went through again with my wife. She really isn't wowed by the retro gems. Can you play a bit more to de-emphasize the retro or old-fashioned feel? In the end I will listen to opinions but have to go with what fits best for me. Thanks again!
There is a three way tie for top designer right now. I fortunately already have several that I could go with right now. It sure would be nice to wow my wife too! I am going to take another look through your portfolio...
Hi Kent, Thanks for making it such a tough decision! I will move forward to my next important steps of getting my business going. The Logo Tournament was consuming and a great experience that I won't forget. Your logo creations were fantastic. Your personal service and responsiveness to suggestions was amazing. Your take care as well- Donovan
