The biggest issue with logos #15 & #16) are that the image & text have equal weight. Either the image should be dominant with the text backing it up or the other way around. Also, the image itself isn't really what we're looking for. The guy doesn't really look like the pop culture type of geek who's into video games, comics, toys, etc. He seems a bit more "corporate" and maybe too cartoony.
In reference to entry #38 , while we like the design (it's polished and effective), it is way too close in design to the San Diego Comic Con logo. There's no way we could use something like that.
In reference to entry #38 , of course we like that one since it resembles such a successful logo (San Diego Comic Con), but we wanted to point out that it displays a few different approaches than what we've seen already in this contest. It's composition isn't as straight-forward, and it doesn't rely solely on a simplistic font and pair of geek glasses. We obviously can't use #38, but wanted to leave it up here for a bit to show that we're not completely married to the straight "geek glasses" motif.
Oh sorry you can`t use this one :( My intention was to make logo that will clearly connect geek guy with comic books world, and have pop art feeling at the same time, that`s why I used such obvious reference. Regards, Bob.
