I hate to say this, but it's a tad bit too feminine. lol My wife said it reminds her of a tag she'd see in a vintage garment. I like the feminine look, but let's tone it down just a bit. Michelle Collins' contest is one that I like some of the looks from. Also, if you're able to make a symbol of some sort, that would be cool too. No cameras, though. lol Something cool and abstract. See Manifesto Photography and Quantum Code's contests. Thanks!!!

Here are some variations with the same retro-modern appeal

Ok, so this is a mass comment, of sorts, to all the designers......I appreciate all the effort you're putting in on my logo, so thank you soooo much!!! It seems that everyone is doing the "GL" thing which is cool, but I really want a pictoral mark too, possibly. Something abstract?? Perhaps an abstract shutter, or even something that is very South Carolina in an abstract form too! Some of you have already started to make some abstract designs and I thank you! Keep in mind also, that other colors are certainly appreciated too. Remember....kinda feminine, not sooooo masculine. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing more designs!!! Gary Lee

I had some ideas I thought I'd run by you. Thought it was cool how easily you could make an abstract camera with your last name!

a retro-modern type treatment with a camera lens/aperture reversed out to also be an abstract flower

thinking outside the box. very cool. I see what you've done with the LEE and I like it. Unfortunately, I think it might be too masculine. From one end of the spectrum to the other.....lol. I really dig that you think abstractly, though!!!

This is a bit of a “mass comment” to all the designers who have submitted to my contest. First off, thank you so much for your submissions! I really appreciate the time you’ve put into your designs. As you may have noticed, I’ve extended my contest by 7 days. You may have also noticed that I’ve “cleaned house”. Please don’t take it personally if your design has been placed in the “thanks, but we prefer other designs” category. I’ve decided only to rate those designs that could be considered a strong possibility.

Please take a moment to re-read my brief. I want something that appeals to high-end FEMALE prospects. Many of the designs I’ve refused are way too masculine. This doesn’t mean that I want flower petals and butterflies (waaaaay too feminine) but it does need to appeal to a female audience.

Additionally, I want a pictoral mark. Something that can be used alone as a watermark on photographs. Perhaps it will be a PART of the logo, but something pictoral. Most of the designs (90%) are just a GL design and/or a circle with a GL. This has become rather overdone. Let’s think outside the box!!! Something abstract (yes, I know some of you have already done that and thank you) And please, NO camera or aperture inspired designs. Way to cliche.

I look forward to seeing some fresh new ideas! Thanks again!!!
