#20 I like the way you've focused on the $, but would like to see some variations without the larger dots (heads, I presume). Also, just curious to see how you would approach the use of our tagline, "Tell a Friend. Get a deal." Also--I do like the lowercase approach, especially with the color differences, but I would be interested in seeing it with an uppercase F and S for each word. That's how we've typically referred to FriendSpend..although not stuck to it.
#20 I do like the idea of having a symbol that could perhaps take on a life of its own and could easily be used as a square icon for things like Facebook and Twitter. So the $ approach is appealing.
#29 What about dropping a little speech bubble hook off the bottom of both the blue and green parts around the $? The blue one would point to the right and the green one to the left. Not too large, just something to indicate that these are speech bubbles---even though I know your original intent was for them to represent people/friends. Also, will you incorporate our tagline: "Tell a friend. Get a deal."
Actually, I prefer the look of #29 more than the closed $ symbol on #32. What I was thinking was dropping a speech bubble "hook" off the blue part, perhaps on the lower right part of it and pointing to the right....and then dropping a similar one of the green part, but pointing left and coming off the lower left side of the green....still keeping some white space and an open feel to the $. Does that make sense?
The size and shape of the hook are good....just flip horizontal and change to green for the green one. Would love to see that approach.
#29 Would like to see this with the tagline added, "Tell a friend. Get a deal." However, I think I like the tagline to be a dark gray rather than black. Also, would like to incorporate a TM symbol into the logo. The other thing I'm going to need/want is a square version, probably with the $ symbol on top and the FriendSpend and tagline on the bottom. It would be used for FB, Twitter thumbnails, etc. Also, would really like to see how the logo would look on a black background.
I can show you those changes, but unfortunately I won't find time to complete them before the conclusion of your contest. If you're still interested, I can submit them for you during the judging phase.
