Here are some grayscale variants of the kite concept, #50, #51, #52, in which I've simplified the tail. Let me know which version you prefer.
Thank you,
Pink
I like the kite concept! Let's simplify the tail - get rid of the books on the tail and make it more stylized, and more like a ribbon. Can you also try the kite in a few different locations - on top, on the left
Good that there is a lot of information, but the design has too many details which make it distracting. Maybe put the cup before "free", get rid of the owl. Can you put the whole thing in grey? Maybe better to pick the color later
Hello,
I'll be happy to know your comments about my #37, #38, #39 concepts.
• At my #38 concept I used an owl as a symbol of learning.
It's a cute icon that communicates your message in a friendly way.
Not sure if you want 8$ to be written on your logo...
• #37 has a more creative touch. I used a kite, to portrait freedom, and on its tail it has books. It's an interesting approach.
• Finally #39 has a more classic, symmetrical style.

One clarification please about "try taking the cup out altogether".
Would you like to drop the cup and leave only the text?
Thank you :)
