Its called Spot UV varnish/Spot gloss UV which basically means that a certain lack is applied to selected areas, its awesome for business cards and brochures . You may ask your printer about that, they can show you printed examples and give you specifics about the costs. 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn #140 #141 #142 #143 4 years ago Stickie commented on #143 Withdrawn horizontal version of #142 (see description) 4 years ago Stickie commented on #142 Withdrawn Minor shape detail improvements , slight changes to letter "n" to match the "F" and add some balance, color scheme reduced to 3 solid colors. 4 years ago Stickie commented on #140 Withdrawn No gradients , only solid colors. I am working on some variations and will upload these within the next few hours. 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn Sorry for the delayed response. This last week has been a bit overwhelming. I will drop the gradients and try to maintain some effect with solid colors. 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn ???? 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn Stickie, not at all brother.. Come on, totally otherwise, i take your comments, with wisdom and see your point. I was totally conviced that i wanted a cartoon, but you've changed my mind man. I just talked to the printing company that i work with and they advised me to eliminate the color gradient or degraded that the desing had, so that all prints come out exactly as is the original logo 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn You dont have to take my word as gospel, just research and observe the redesign evolution of some(famous or not) companies and you will notice that in 99% of the cases they tend to lose detail and strive towards a more stylized, simplified and iconic look, this is not without a reason, after all most of these companies spend significant amounts of money to hire top level agencies to do the job . 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn .Also the logo I have designed does a better job maintaining your previous image which people are already familiar with(basically the same character but modernized keeping its memorable elements shape & stance) and therefore has better recognition value than a new similar character. 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn I've been into branding and marketing for over 10 years now I and I am pretty confident that I know my stuff. People associate the quality of the logo with the quality of the brand and I don't believe that a caricature is the best way to build confidence with your audience about the quality of your product , especially in the detergents niche. Some may argue pointing out Maestro Limpio/Mr Proper/Mr Clean but first - how is your brand unique and different if it mimics famous competitors and second - little do they know of how much Procter & Gamble have invested into its marketing since the late 50s (and its still called FLASH in UK and does not use the mascot).Thats just my two cents , I can not convince you what logo to put on your product ,I can only share my advice. Please do not take anything personally, this is just my professional opinion on the matter and I wont compete with caricatures. Best regards Stickie. 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn #113 - without background and slogan 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn Can we make this one, with out the slogan.. 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn You're totally right. Let me tell you that i was totally convinced 'bout the cartoon, but with your logo, everythin changed.. and also my colgues change the perspective 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn DAMN MAN!!... Thanks for your sincerity and strength to say things 4 years ago Stickie commented on #87 Withdrawn Hi , I can do it but it it would defeat the function and the idea behind the redesign, basically the opposite direction of the process. In order to communicate trustworthiness and quality I have redesigned the cartoon/mascot and turned it in to an iconic brandmark to to give it a more serious and corporate touch keeping it easy for the average customer to recognize and identify it. The biggest problem with a cartoon logo is that your logo can become TOO friendly and therefore be seen as childish , so If you want your brand to be taken seriously, it definitely makes more sense to consider a different kind of logo. That being said ,I am going to trust my branding and redesign experience and stand behind my specific chosen direction and evolution of the brand visuals. I prefer to invest the time to try and improve and polish what I have already started . Best regards. Stickie 4 years ago JOSIGMTZ commented on #87 Withdrawn Stickie, hello there!
