Hi :) Here is my first entry. I thought the best plan to build the brand in the customer's mind was to reinforce it visually. I created a stylized, "fun" fork and placed it next to the type. By adding the subtle shadow, it creates distance between the fork and the brand name. That helps create the illusion that the logo takes up more real estate than it really does...which gives the brand/logo a presence. By following the handle of the fork, you arrive at the arced tagline. By placing the tagline on top, it forces the viewer to read it as a lead-in to the brand itself. (when placed below, t can easily be ignored as "small print") This helps to further the marketing and get more mileage out of the brand elements.
The fork handle & shadow frame the brand itself, which helps the logo feel cohesive and "put together." All of the the shapes/colors are created without gradients, which means it can be reproduced easily/cheaply (it can also easily go to one color)
Thanks for your time & consideration. If there are any comments you have or suggestions for improvement that you'd like to see, please just let me know.
