Concept: Letter O as a fruit. A great advantage of this concept is that you can change the types of fruit for different categories/events seasons etc...
Hey Stickie, thanks for that. They seem really plain. I've flicked through your portfolio and love your work i.e the MAD and Moonshine logo. Reckon you can put something awesome together? Looking forward to seeing them.
already working on a strawberry to put on the place of the letter 'o'...
I've been thinking of chocolate and I would not recommend its use to avoid any possible color based misinterpretations... As a designer I would stick to a color which has a better relation to the name ... The hod dog ketchup stuff can be too strongly associated with fast food especially with this particular name.
There is one possibility that you can use more than one option whenever the use of the logo is connected to a certain theme/category . For example you can have the same logo with chocolate color in chocolate category or it can be seasonal like chocolate day,etc ..it can be done red when associated with Italian food, past etc... orange or pink or purple for smoothies...green for vegetarian so it looks like guacamole.. That is the reason why I choose to go for a typography based wordmark with a greater versatility.
I would continue working on a strawberry theme and i will upload more entries when I am ready..
Let me know if you disagree with anything, communication if very important and I will gladly discuss it.
It can be done but it really involves a lot of work
If I have to design every additional variation of the logo i.e create illustrations of chocolate, pancakes, hot dog, ribs etc ,it will make the scope of the design project way too broad for the budget attached.
Even if I agreed to do it (which I cannot afford) I am not sure if it would comply by the rules.
It can be done as additional work after the contest is complete . We are not allowed to discuss specific details about future work before the contest is officially complete.
Let me now if you have any questions and sorry for any inconvenience
