On my designs you can see shovel shaped shield, where lettermark FIG where letter "i" as sword. And it can pen too, cause sword contains 2 different pieces at the same time. So please let me know, if you want to see some changes there. Thanks.

Thank you. I can see the symbolic elements now. I can see how the pen and the sword are represented as well.

denzu: good work. Here are my comments. The symbols are present. However "power" dominates the image. What is we add orbits (for global effect as well as electronic or information age tools), I like the handle of the dagger pronounced in 18 like 19. I also like to see what happens if we replace the symbol of a dagger with a quill? Here is the challenge: How do we make this image to convey more "construction" the "destruction"? I do realize that the shape of the shield also conveys the symbol for a shovel. How can we soften this logo into a more balanced symbol? bottom line: this has potential! Thank you for your work!

Thank you for the comments. But its a tournament site here, so we (designers) are all competitors and on this site not allowed to use other designer ideas. So I cannot use orbit or quill at this time, because someone else created these elements. Sorry.

denzu: I hear you and applaud your sense of artistic ethics. Let me pose my thoughts a different way: Forget the Quil and the orbit... what can you put in your design to convey information superiority, global presence, construction, job creation? Here is a question for you: How does one symbolize "hope"? FIG works to help raise hope, reduce fear, encourage more cooperation, reduce conflict, build alliances that focus on "construction" and not "destruction". I hope these comments are helpful to you to work on number 18 or a variation of it. Your work is decisive and powerful.

How does one symbolize "hope"? <-- if you ask so, then I think, the answer is hands.
